So are there cards that support all three? Because that would be the ultimate test now, wouldn't it.
Ответитьman u really need to try ze rtx 4090
Ответитьmy friend has just upgraded from a gt520 to a second hand gtx1050ti. he was able to play a surprising number of games on it albeit at speeds where narration as to what happens on screen was probably faster.
ОтветитьAny modern GPU would happily work in PCI-E 1x slot, much faster than any of these cards.
ОтветитьGoosebumps intro...... So it has repeated with transfer from AGP to PCI express. So I have Radeon HD3850 AGP. with hot PCIe to AGP bridge....
Ответитьi've used one of this PCI Zotac and still have this card in my collection i think
ОтветитьI remember my first PC and even my 2nd PC still had ISA slots. My first video card was ISA card with 512kb of RAM i.e. VGA. My 2nd card was PCI with 8mb RAM.
ОтветитьAuthor has prolly tried 'em already, but the Single PCIe 1.0 x1 lane (claimed 33/66mhz) PCI adapters (PEX8112* PCIe<->PCI bridge) w/ a powered riser will technically allow any legacy-bios bootable modern GPU to 'work'. (I may or may not have tried this on a MI25 turned not-a-WX9100 16GB HBM2 in a NF2200Pro dual-940 board. for fun...) Keep in mind many boards will potentially run them 33Mhz/133MB/s rather than PCI 2.1(1997)-> supported 66Mhz/266MB/s. (I'm still playing with the 2 adapters I have, and 'figuring out' their limitations.) Heads-up: Those same PCI<->PCIe bridge adapter cards work w/ NVME drives. Ex. Adding 'Intel Optane' to an early-2000s PC is an amusingly anachronistic experience. *Oh, BTW: Same PEX8112 is on many low-end and early PCIe cards in PCI-build. (in other words, you can use a 'PCI X1300/x1550' to test how a system reacts to the PEX8112).
ОтветитьHoly sheet bro.... production quality is great, pci never looked sooo good!!
ОтветитьWeren't there also pci-x graphics cards?🤔
Would be interesting to test how much more Performance an pci-e /pci-x bridge can deliver
I can’t even find pci Wi-Fi cards anymore. This sucks because I used to buy those to give old pcs wifi
ОтветитьWould be great to see a video of the AGP nVidia 6800 Ultra 256MB GDDR3 vs AGP Radeon HD 4670 1GB GDDR3.
The Radeon was a last ditch effort to get a ridiculous GPU on an AGP slot.
But if I recall correctly, the 6800Ultra scores better in some scenarios.
I have both cards for my Pentium 4HT EE build (Socket 478, ABit IC7-Max3) so if you want me to run some tests, let me know 🤙
Nope sorry bro
Hd 7350 oem pci card with 512Mb gddr3 memory.
my first computer back in early 2000s was a pentium II computer , with no AGP , so I bought a PCI graphic card
Ответитьwould have been nice to have the PCI E equivilent tested as well to see just how much of a difference there was.
ОтветитьHello my friend , If you know, can you share what pins on the rgb and h/v isa slot the video signals are?
Ответитьstill got a fx5200 verto 256mb ddr pci card in services today.
ОтветитьI was fully expecting you to put a Nvidia RTX 3080 in a PSI slot via some conversion method...
Ответитьall graphics cards produced since 1999 are broken experimental versions for engineers capitalists all know this but you try to find out what people know to prepare answers to cheating people but capitalists ran out of time in 2020 to polish all computer parts of all generations that's why people will in state courts to order financial damages
Ответитьgeforce gt 610, geforce gt 520 I would not take to the pci bus because of the worse videoram memory and worse gpu cores kepler, fermi
Ответитьcapitalists kiss my ass
Ответитьis there some sort of PCIE x16 to regular PCI riser that you can use to hook up a modern GPU through a PCI slot and see how bad the memory bandwidth of the slot affects performance?
ОтветитьI managed to get 151FPS in Quake III (Max settings @1280x1024) with my GT 430 running in my Dual PIII 1GHz system, in SMP mode. (The card was slotted into a 66MHz PCI slot)
ОтветитьI bought a PCI to PCIe adapter like this. I've already done some funny tests, e.g. a GeForce 750 Ti or Radeon 7950 operated with Athlon Thunderbird 1.4 GHz... I recently equipped a Dual Xeon 3.6 GHz system from 2003 with a Radeon R7 250 and 2 GB. Works perfectly, 13,000 points were achieved with 3DMark 2001 SE in 1280 x 1024 and 32 bit.
ОтветитьIt's funny, i have another one of those recent PCI cards (well kinda). It's a GeForce 6200 LE, which, surprising enough, has a PCIE to PCI bridge (i believe) the one i have is the absolutely lowest end NVIDIA GPU from the geforce 6 series. I was wondring why this card ran like absolute garbage even though it was relatively recent but now i know why, i got right about the same numbers in 3dmark01 and 03.
ОтветитьGT 430 pci vs GT 430 pci-e??
ОтветитьAgp pro 8x. Wildcat 3110 208mb card anybody or the wildcat realism 800 ?
ОтветитьProbably dual monitor support for basic business uses ? On like an hp sff case system
ОтветитьIts impressive but useless for Vintage computers. A lot of pentium 1 and 2 and under this card doesnt even work......and furthermore you dont even need it. Even the voodoo5500 pci even though it does work in older computers its massive overkill.
Ответитьdo any of you know if there are any 9x drivers for these cards i recently built a retro pentium 4 rig with 512mg ram with the idea of using it on either windows 98 Se or windows ME for retro gaming on real legacy hardware
Ответитьcurious if the GT 430 universal keying is actually true or is it like agp cards where there are incorrectly keyed cards.
ОтветитьI thought the last pci card was the geforce gt210, didnt realise they did newer cards!
Recently I just bought a geforce 6200 pci card 3 month ago, rather than having to use my old tnt card!
I got a gt610 pci for an optiplex 755
Ответитьstill pushing your voice through a 20yo pci sound card
ОтветитьThe 3dfx 5550 wasn't a great PCI card. It was a garbage AGP card, thus the differences between the two weren't great.
ОтветитьWould the gt520 be bottle necked by a pentium 4?
ОтветитьI don't suppose this has Windows 98 drivers?
Thinking about getting a PCI-PCIe bridge and an old GPU for virtualization, because the few 3D acceleration options for Windows 98 virtualization that do exist, are not performant. I'm going to need some sort of GPU passthrough, but Windows 98 supports few if any native PCIe cards.
I remember when they put fast midrange AGP card GPUs onto PCI 32 bit. What a joke! The bus was saturated like a Louisiana Bayou night!
Ответить3d vodoo fx 16mb
ОтветитьI had a ATI 9200 pci card! It could barely play call of duty! Had real bad studders!
ОтветитьI had a ATI 9200 pci card! It could barely play call of duty! Had real bad studders!
ОтветитьAGP was so awesome! Until one day on tech tv I heard the host talk about pci express!
ОтветитьText in graphs barely legible on a phone and the music is awful and far too loud
Ответитьmy last PCI card was the Voodoo 3 3000. it was a good price value to upgrade my setup for a few time. then I upgraded for the Riva TNT2 Ultra because AGP gave a real boost. so I'm absolutely surprised about your Zotac video cards. in my mind, video cards througt PCI died in the 2000 year.
ОтветитьThank goodness this video came up, this is nearly impossible to search for, with terrible spammy websites filling up the results! Now I know that yes, the Athlon 64 system I picked up recently that only has PCI slots is never going to be a great retro games system.
ОтветитьHello Nathan, re-watching in 2025 lol
Oh and I think the fastest PCI card now is a somewhat hard to track down GT 430... Still! There are newer ones but not with the same raw power
I saw an Nvidia 8400 PCI
ОтветитьSo what do you think these cards would be useful for? Seems like they're a product looking for a problem. Though for me, they're a fascinating novelty!
