In this interview, Derl and I discuss his arrival in Vietnam, the weather, being assigned to Bravo Company and initial combat, the food and water situation, fighting the NVA, the aspect of killing and Operation Buffalo, and July 2, 1967. Derl and I also discuss the ideology of the NVA/VC and how it differed from that of Derl and his fellow Marines.
