Great video. One quick question. With the limited distance but great accuracy of these air gun, (and really all firearms) how come so many hunters are afraid to shoot a deer in the head? Especially an antler-less one. (No trophy to ruin) In my experience it’s either a DRT (drops right there) or a complete miss. Here in the deep dark woods of the east Atlantic coast of Canada, you could lose sight of an animal with 2-3yds. Especially in the evening when those big bucks like to show themselves. I’ve NEVER had to look for any animal I’ve taken. Great shot though. Again thanks for the video. Stay safe.

I don't know why everybody is always pushing heavy foot-pounds and a air rifle to be able to harvest the deer if you watch the footage on American air-gunner one of the guys on there was shooting a 45 caliber slug he shoots a doe with a hollowpoint slug or bullet it weighs 172 grains all the man was getting with 250 ft lb and he got a complete pass through the te Deer didn't go no more than 30 yards I don't know why everybody keeps saying you have to have 300 + foot pounds to be able to harvest the deer if you don't and he shot the deer at 75 yards

Sir, I like ur videos much bcause i'm going to make the such videos too/shoot deer. But now i,m beeing hesitate bcose an air gun seller sugested me not to shoot deer since they are under protection by gvernment. But in Kalimantan, still in my country, there is a chanel chaught a deer n they are still save, no punishment they got. Actually deers are farmers' enemy as weel. I need your advise in my hesitation. Should i afraid of law possibility that so far never punish deer hunter in kalimantan, or i may continou my planing? Oh ya my marauder is not been used yet bcse the pump is broken. Is the .45 caliber a better choice for hunting than a 50 caliber texan SS I keep seeing videos with the 45 Cal and I’m wondering why you guys don’t just bump it up to the 50 Cal since it seems to have more energy and stopping power.....Very new to the air rifle game but I’m getting involved it’s an amazing new way to hunt I own two of the airforce Texans 7.62 and the 50 Cal....you guys are making me want to get the .45

You are too slow. When we go hunting it's just a matter of a second but we managed to shot wether running or walking.

I have the Airforce Texan .457 LSS with cf bottle and TX2 valve. I will be testing the nsa 350 grain hollow point and the high arc hunter 365 grain hollow point slug.
My question is, where should the tuning dial be set as a starting point?

Just got the Texan LSS CF in .510 and the power is off the charts . I can't wait to go to the range in Hyannis , MA and REALLY let it rip . The ranges in MA are super snobby and don't allow air rifles , too powerful for them , I guess !
