Playing The Sims 4 like it's 2014

this is literally how i build.

I purchased sims 4 at launch... i played it for 6 hours then never touched it again for 2 years! huge disapointment, i think i spent about 20 min trying to figure out where the pools were then screamed when my baby turned into a child. I played sims 1 , 2 and 3 so i was horrifyed.

Remember when I started playing Sims 4 after release in 2014, when I was in 8th grade. Now I graduated from university and got a law bachelor's degree and getting a master's degree, have a job, was engaged, broke up with a fiance and moved to another city. Gods, I literally grew up with this game. I'm glad to see how much progress Sims 4 and I have made together❤

i remember playing the 100 baby challenge without toddlers, so much easier back then😂

What did Sims 4 even have at launch??

The crazy thing is I don’t play with other move objects at all so this is me 24/7 lol!

i was (semi) lucky to start playing christmas of 2014 so at least i had pools ghosts the better lighting and the build buy cheats...but oh my god the lack of items and swatches was a STRUGGLE. and ill never forgive them for the old foundation system the new system is one of the absolute best upgrades in the game

so horrible, the sims 3 was a fucking complete game

I still think they should still update the Sims 3 along the Sims 4

Everytime simstubers says the sims 4 is a disaster at launch but non of them says that sims 4 is a disaster now also. Game is broken and unplayable. There are so many bugs so many broken packs. They just don’t fix them. In 10 years they just arrived sims 2 and some packs level.

All I remember from the sims 4 was when I would age up the baby it would be a toddler I think I can’t remember when I started playing the sims 4 I guess I was a little late because I didn’t have my own laptop yet but then when I found out about this game and all that

To me, playing the sims 3 in lauch was the most crazy experience, than for sims 4. because the world was now open, we had bikes, we could travel with the sim, it felt so much more real, I was in love with sims 3

I remember that we’re not able to place items close to the foundation, so we would build the house, place all the exterior plants and decorarions and the add the foundation haha

When I saw the title I should have known it was literally just her building 😂

the sims really should have a way to roll back to older versions of the game since it's such a pain when a update comes out and it brakes a bunch of mods or just brakes the game and a lot of the time what's added in the update isn't worth losing some of your favorite mods so being able to roll back updates like you can in games like minecraft would be so nice

If only some of the older versions were available to access for curiosity and nostalgia sakes.

I went with my mum to buy the Sims 4 from EB Games around Christmas of 2014
As one of my first pc games I loved it, but looking back now it was not worth the price

That explains why building in 2014 on this game sucks. So we have to build in that game on 2015 on ward instead.

This just brought memory of my 15 year old self when my ma bought it for me for my birthday lol

How long did it take you to build it? You seem such a pro. It takes me 4 hours to make a strange asymmetrical house.

I swore getting money was a lot more difficult in the beginning. At least it felt like it 😭

I have been playing ts4 2014 (Patch 5) for about 2 weeks now and honestly I like it more then 2024 in a few ways (NOT WHEN MAKING SIMS OR BUILDING. ITS BAD)

i paid over $70 for the deluxe cd. i played the game for HOURS every single day. never got bored. it was the first ting i did when i woke up and the last thing i did when i fell asleep.

now that the game is more developed than ever and i have 30gb of cc, i rarely play the game and when i do it's for a few hours at a time.

somehow an incomplete junk game was more fun to me than a somewhat incomplete junk game

It’s genuinely baffling they released the game in the state it was in and had the gall to charge $60 for it. EA moment for sure.

I have been playing since Sims 2 but I had all of the Sims 3 packs and refused to play Sims 4 until more expansion packs were out because it was so nothing compared to Sims 3 at the time. I don't think I switched from 3 to 4 until 2017/2018

I remember I begged for this game when it came out and then the next year for my birthday I was able to get it. I was only able to play for a short time because it crashed out on me and I wasn't able to open it any more after that. I don't have anything to play it on but I've been watching sims videos since like 2012 lol.

It is hard to describe the level of hype me and my siblings had for Sims 4 after being so avidly fans of 2 and 3 with every expansion pack, then opening up… this. To this day, I don't understand how they got away with selling us something with half the features of the old games. I still don't enjoy playing Sims 4 anywhere near how much I enjoy playing Sims 3. I just get so bored.

Watching this makes me want to go build on my old/first favorite willow creek lot using all the items I remember loving when I first played the game 😂

it was easier to download a cracked version of the sims 4 1.0 and build the house from there, that would have been real pain haha

😂 With all the packs out now i feel like sims 4 is finally a decent game
