Still pretty good.
Did you lets play bowsers inside story? I'd like to see a review of that
ОтветитьI give it 9/10, just like you, all time fav game
ОтветитьYES
Ответитьits my fav game
ОтветитьOut of curious is spm your favorite game???
also since you like SPM i feel that you would like the Densetsu no starfy or Klonoa franchises... idk I just kinda feel that way
I get that not many people liked the gameplay change, but that shouldn't discredit this game as a whole because it's not TTYD.
In fact, in terms of story and main characters, I think SPM has TTYD beat in several respects. SPM's story is by far the best, with TTYD not far behind. What makes it really stick out for me, is that as good as TTYD's story is, it's still a "rescue Peach" plot when you get down to it; in SPM, rescuing Peach ISN'T the end game objective, it's saving the multiverse from annihilation. Sure, in TTYD you're saving the world, but those stakes don't come into play until near the end, where in SPM, the stakes are laid out from the beginning.
I personally like the main villains much more than TTYD's. Grodus, Lord Crump, Beldam and the Shadow Queen are all great, but SPM's shine out much more, especially Count Bleck and Dimentio. Count Bleck is a very flesh-out and dynamic character with his backstory and subsequent motivations that stem from it, and Dimentio as a whole I believe is the best Mario villain ever created. He's entertaining with his powers and penchant for similes, but also vilely cunning, sadistic, deranged and completely psychopathic. One, this is utterly brilliant in how he's an antithesis to the game's centric themes around love (what better than a character who's incapable of comprehending it?), and two, the sheer scale in which he pulled off his schemes and how close he came to succeeding is phenomenally impressive (had he not taken into account the Pure Hearts coming back, he would've destroyed the multiverse, then recreated a new one fitting his ideals, and one he would rule over as the new king/God). He's just in a league of his own there in comparison to how most Mario villains only had the ambitions for conquering the Mushroom World. Mimi, O'Chunks and Nastasia are given minor character development as well and both their loyalty and fidelity to Count Bleck is a really fun dynamic.
The other great thing is the character development with the heroes. Bowser's is more subtle, but it's definitely there. He's still largely his sarcastic, snarky self, but you really see the lengths of his feelings towards Peach here and judging by his reaction to the WHAM moment in Chapter Six, even he has standards and lines he won't cross. Princess Peach in this game is my all-time favorite incarnation of her EVER. Instead of operating from the sidelines of captivity as she did in the two predecessors, Peach actually joins and fights alongside Mario in the main adventure, and she INSISTS on doing so! She takes accountability for her mistakes and takes it upon herself to do everything she can to fix them and help out, and she kicks ASS!! And then there's Luigi. OH MY GOD, Luigi in this game is BADASS!! Talk about ascended extra, he goes from his minor role in the first two games to major playable character with an integral role in the plot! Not only that, he's confident, he's heroic, he takes initiative, all of those respects on levels you'd expect from MARIO! When you finally reunite with him, he joins the party without hesitation, readily accompanying his brother to assist in saving all worlds without trepidations on the risks or dangers either. The other aspects of his ascended role are astounding, from his arrogant, mech-savvy brainwashed persona, to his linch pin significance in both the light and dark prophecies. This was also what pissed me off the most when Sticker Star came out: it demoted Peach to helpless damsel in distress, made Bowser voiceless, and made Luigi voiceless, characterless, and a do-nothing cameo!
Super Paper Mario is my personal favorite Mario game... in general. A fantastic story and great gameplay merge of platforming and RPG, along with witty dialogue, likable characters, challenging puzzles that don't require scavenging the land around you to solve, and being able to play as Luigi. Need I say more?
ОтветитьFINALLY someone comments on the beautiful soundtrack. I was beginning to think i was alone on that.
ОтветитьSuper Paper Mario was the first Paper Mario game I'd ever played. When I first played it, I was blown away by the whole feel of the game. It has a fun-loving feel but it was these almost... haunting undertones. It's hard to describe. It was by far my favourite game for the Wii, and still holds up as one of my favourite games of all time. When I started getting into the internet and realizing how much hate it got, I was like "were the previous games so good that THIS game feels bad to the people who've played them?" I still haven't played the other ones, besides playing Colour Splash which I'm actually not really minding so far, but it's nice to see someone agree with me about Super Paper Mario being so good! It get so much unwarranted hate. Mostly from people who played the other ones and were expecting something different, I think. Sorry for the big, rambly comment! I recently started playing Super Paper Mario again and it's giving me all the feels LOL
Ответить"Stereotypical nerdy chameleon". .. . ..What??
Tell me, when else have you seen a chameleon that is portrayed as nerdy?
And if you find one, please find 100 more in order to prove there is a stereotype in place.
This is my second favorite Paper Mario game, behind TTYD. I didn't mind that it wasn't RPG styled, because I ADORE platformers, and the 3D ability was cool. Story is great, characters are great, humor is great, and gameplay is great. I love it. 9.5/10.
ОтветитьLol Dislikes incoming
ОтветитьI'm currently playing it since it came with the Wii I bought this summer. I haven't played the previous Paper Mario titles but on it's own it's a damn good game!
ОтветитьThis was the best paper Mario game
ОтветитьEnding made me cry.
Ответить“I have the entire OST on my phone.”
So that includes River Twygz Bed?
IMO, this is the best game by quite a bit in the Paper Mario franchise. I'm an RPG guy, but I never felt Paper Mario was the best approach to making a Mario RPG... that was already done best on SNES. However, I LOVED the approach used for a 2D platformer Mario, and it remains to this day my favourite 2D Mario game since the early 90s.
ОтветитьMeh.
Thats it,that's my opinion on the game.
Meh.
Okay story. And the main villains are cool characters, the soundtrack is also pretty good. But,thats all i have that.
The game would be much more better if the characters had more personality.
The pixls were replaced with ACTUAL partners.
And..IN MY OPINION adding Turn based combat. Although there are a lot of people who don't like turn based combat and thats okay.
This game is like the Sonic Lost World from Paper Mario.
Ответить.
Ответитьmy favorite paper mario game
