HOLY SHIT... saying hefty was being nice... looking at your Leap Chair which costs $889 YES OMFG...

I have the Leap and it does a pretty good job (though its expensive). All I see from the Gesture is a more versatile arm rest. Not sure if that's a big enough achievement to warrant a whole new chair.

How incredibly slick from a visionary company in a town I grew up in Grand Rapids and how much today's innovative technology requires the bridge connection to the actual user of today's common tools. Amazing and hope to grab one!

This is amazing....I started working at my home and I bought a decent chair. Although it still had the obvious issues. This is like perfect man! Do you ship internationally???? And how much do you think you would price the product???

That's nice right there! At some evolutionary stage of their product, they should incorporate the dynamics of the chair to be able to stretch out in an inclined position and be form fitting for a "face down" expierence with a head holder fashioned similar to a massage table and arms that would swing all the way around and come together in the back forming a desktop or shelf below your face. It would give you an additional position of work that could double your productivity in the work place.

Any ideas on the pricing or any official release dates?

I sat in it at NeoCon. Not too impressed. You'll see why when you sit in it.

I sure hope this isn't made out of cheap, rickety ping pong ball plastic like my Leap is!

It's not a regular chair it is SUPER MEGA iPad nano mega ultra chair. Hahaha this video made my day.

Would be cool to have if I had 1000 dollars doing nothing somewhere.

A good chair needs a test before buying.
Where can we test it, in Montreal, Toronto, New York or Boston area ?

@Steelcase, You need to market your armrests to manufacturers in the trucking industry.

Question - no lumbar adjustment? Seems an essential part of any ergonomic chair.

The chair is amazing, I have never tired anything of such quality. Even the most expensive mesh chair from Staples pales in comparison. If you think of comparison, that will be something what Germans do with their cars manufacturing. The materials feel solid, there is nothing making rattle or noise, the cushion is comfortable enough and at the same time feels sturdy and responsive. This is perfection in it's finest. Bravo Steelcase, Bravo!

It is certainly important to give the public a rationale when you are charging them over a thousand dollars to sit down.
