Clearly there are a lot of people commenting on this result who don’t understand proportionality. Leaving a room, getting a can of petrol, returning to the room and pouring the petrol over someone and then setting them on fire is clearly not proportionate to the victim say something she found offensive. I’d have locked her up for at least 20 years. It’s her actions that got her convicted and sentenced not what the victim said. Victim blaming is not acceptable and there’s a lot of that going on here. In general, most societies don't care much about the welfare of men. It's just a cold, hard fact.

I am a serious burns survivor. I am a mentally strong person but even in hospital the pain was so unbearable I actually asked the nurse if they could just let me die. 4 to 7 years (and it will probably end up less) is not enough for doing this to someone.

Honestly, so many females today are absolute flakes. Males too, I know. But as a woman, I see / read stuff that makes me wonder how they ever survive a day, let alone a life. There is no way they could cope with the life I have lived, and still live. Send them somewhere where women live on a do or die basis. Maybe even a warzone. Setting someone on fire is considered attempted murder in the US if the victim lives through the ordeal. She would have gotten 15 to 20 years in prison in the US. Granted, the man is an idiot for doing and saying those things and probably should have gotten a swift kick in the backside, but not attempted murder. If a man did this he would have gotten a life sentence in prison. Why is she any different?
