We have a timeshare in Hilton Head…3 more years and I’m hoping to make SC home!
ОтветитьI always find it interesting when people choose to move far away from their family and friends. Especially as we age and need our support structures and can lend a hand to our families too. SC is def on our list to vacation one day in the spring or fall.
ОтветитьTake a close look! Many builders have overestimated the influx. Look at the MB area. Serious deals are coming in the future. Do your research and be patient, it will pay off.
ОтветитьVisited Greenwood Lake. Fell in love with the area.
ОтветитьThe Mid-South states have many desirable attributes and diverse living conditions. South Carolina has been successful in attracting businesses offering employment. But the prevailing anti-government, anti-regulation culture in this region means that key infrastructure lags what's needed. Zoning and general planning are constrained so problems like highway congestion, school expansion, water and sewer service, and jumbled commercial development detract increasingly from quality of life and are likely to worsen with rapid growth. This region still looks like a bargain by comparison to areas from which people are fleeing but don't think that rapid growth won't bring problems.
ОтветитьI passed through SC twice on an east coast road trip and absolutely loved it. I spent a little extra time in/near M.B. Watching the sun rise over the Atlantic is a picture I'll never forget. If there is a next time, I will tour the entire state. If I had a clone, he'd be living in South Carolina!
ОтветитьIf I move there I dont want to live by any Alligators no flood zones.I don't want to be floating to the Bahamas
ОтветитьGreenville, SC, is not in the mountains. Mountains are in NC.
ОтветитьCheck DEMOGRAPHICS and CRIME stats before you go or move
ОтветитьBut I didn’t hear anything about the mosquitoes!?
ОтветитьI'll visit instead of living in South Carolina because it might be the next Florida in 20 years.
ОтветитьCity shown is Raleigh NC
ОтветитьMosquitos, hurricanes, high humidity for retirement???
ОтветитьWERE THEY FISHING FOR THE BIG BUCKS?
ОтветитьExciting to see the top South Carolina cities for 2024! Great insights for potential movers.

ОтветитьMy wife and I built our retirement home in Horry County, just as Covid was starting! 4bd/2ba on a 1/2 acre! Cost was just over $200k and at that time mortgage rates were 3%! The model that we chose is now over $300k and mortgage rates are about 8%. We still have 2-3 years before we leave NJ but we are thrilled with our decision! We go down as much as possible, right now, that’s about every 3 months! We have a fantastic neighbor who keeps up the outside when we are not there, even takes in packages if we have something delivered. I forgot to mention that our property taxes will be about $1000 yearly as opposed to $9500,what we are paying now! We can not wait!!😎
ОтветитьPass, honestly hate the south
ОтветитьCharleston proper’s official 2020 census population was 150,000 and growing, not 137,000. In the intro part of this video, some of the photos don’t match the regions.
ОтветитьMyrtle Beach
ОтветитьLove Myrtle Beach
ОтветитьGreat information! What about an area near Beaufort SC?
ОтветитьI really like Jerry because he doesn't make any money producing these videos directly or indirectly. I love the fact he has no motives other than help people. I also tell folks about him.
ОтветитьWhat happened to the full video with 12 tips for 50-60 year olds?
ОтветитьWhat’s your take on Little River on affordable and location?
ОтветитьI have watch some videos of you on Tik Toc talking about the bad of Flordia (insurance, flood insurance, HOA fees, etc.) and I noticed that the HOA fees for Myrtle Beach condos (>$1100-1500) are actually higher than many of the HOA condo fees (>$800-$1200) in the Naples/Marco Island area. Am I missing something? I am from the Chicago area and I am starting my search now as I am 2-3 years from retirement. I am looking to wake-up and see the beach/ocean out my window and go for a walk along the beach each morning.
ОтветитьWhat about blythwood?
ОтветитьWe lived in Charleston for 4 years. We didnt like it. Not much to do. Small state.
ОтветитьColumbia is not a desirable place at all. Amazing you didn’t include Beaufort/HHI/Bluffton
ОтветитьHorry county is being inundated with transplants. Can’t open your eyes without seeing giant new subdivisions everywhere. The bad part is we don’t have the infrastructure to handle it. Not enough hospitals, fire/ems/police and the roads are beyond crowded. 501 is a parking lot 12 hours a day.
ОтветитьMyrtle Beach has mountains and a sea wall? Hmmm. Other than that- good video, Jerry!
ОтветитьI expect is a few years people will be complaining about South Carolina becoming too crowded with retirees. Just like they complain about Florida.
ОтветитьI bought a vacation/retirement home in North Myrtle Beach in 2010 when the housing market crashed. I’m about to retire next April. It’s now worth 3X what I paid for it. Great people, restaurants, beach and climate. Can’t wait.
ОтветитьMyrtle Beach has been the fastest growing city in United States for the past three years. Get your home inspected the builders out here are horrible! Beach House Home Inspections LLC
ОтветитьYour thumbnail is a picture of Raleigh, North Carolina. Y’all really couldn’t find a picture from a town in South Carolina?
ОтветитьWe’re full do not come
ОтветитьPlease stop moving to myrtle beach we don't want anymore of you here.
Ответитьjust moved here in november full time from iowa then nc. love it!
ОтветитьWe're seriously considering a move to the Greenville area (Greer or Mauldin) from AZ next year...my wife and I have had enough of 116 degrees in summer here.
ОтветитьTo hot to cold in winter and road bad like I95 and I24
Ответитьthat's not even a city in south carolina in the thumbnail lol
ОтветитьMyrtle Beach and the entire Horry County is full of do not move there.
ОтветитьWhy do you have a picture of Raleigh N.C. ?
ОтветитьI was born & raised in the Midlands, have two houses there. I currently work & reside in the low country, directly between Charleston & Myrtle Beach 😊
ОтветитьThe first in flight from the Union. Stupid. Carolina is no place to relocate.
ОтветитьI don't wanna dox my city but SC is great and the one I live in is great too
ОтветитьIm moving from PA to N Myrtle in two weeks. Can not wait.
ОтветитьLove your humor...appreciate the info!
ОтветитьGreat me and my husband planing to move to Charleston next year
ОтветитьOnly place worth living in is Charleston or Greenville. Rest is boring. Go to Charlotte or Asheville in NC also
Ответить
