Darkman on nes showed us the nes at its Maximum graphics and sound potential but not gameplay

LOL. You'll spend an hour on the first level. Yes, that was me. I was bound and determined to least beat the first level with those shitty ass controls.

That title screen is genuinely impressive for the NES.

Just 'tried' to play this on my new RG35XX and wondered what others thought about it, because: Controls are UTTERLY terrible!

It's such a damned shame this game sucks. Graphically it's a masterpiece! But uts ruined by shoddy controls and frustrating game play.

It just pisses me off so bad because it makes it seem rushed and in game design that's the WORST choice ever!

I had this game!! Hard as hell, but that's a NES game for you. I loved how he changed characters. I think I beat it too.

This is typical for Ocean Games, they look and sound good but play kind'a meh...

Just like Robocop 2. Even the sound, graphics, and game design are just like that game. I'm not surprised, both were made by Ocean (I don't know if they were made by the same people or simply with the same engine —did that exist at that time?).

Huh maybe I should watch that Movie. This game looks amazing.

I'd even go perhaps a step further and say that its only BECAUSE the game is so simultaneously good and bad that elevates it to near mythic status. 😂

Who would win in a fight, the one legged guy from Darkman or the one handed guy from the Evil Dead series? Somehow I don't think Ash is gonna make it through that fun house level...
