This is BY FAR the BEST fucking guide I've seen about the P-51. Extremely well explained, very well ilustrated with side bottom window, no filler content and the opponents are not braindead. This is what a well done and high value guide looks like. Pure skill explained and outperforming decent and different players (german, soviet, japanese and british). Your name is very familiar. We definitely met each other back when I used to play. I just randomly stumbled upon this video and had a lot of fun watching it. Good to see my favorite plane in good hands :) It was so satisfying watching you play this plane correctly and knowing It's strengths and weaknesses and the part with D-30 vs Late-War German team filled me so much nostalgia when I used to carry my entire team in D-30 against Germany alone or with a wingman.

Oh and just a small tip. Supercharger for the P-51 switches at around 3.5km. So the engine performance suffers the most at around 2.5k to around 4.5k with peak engine performance at 1.5 or 1.8km and then at 5.8km I believe. Numbers differ by a few hundred depending on the map.

Low tier air rb is actually skill required but in tanks and top tier air you get shot by someone who clicks on you

very nice video 51/10

so key points:
- only bother shooting from decent range
- it's okay to spray and pray
- chip damage goes a long way
- tap elevator to reverse in a long range chase
- skidding head-ons
- take the first one-circle if enemy lower alt (and isn't zoom climbing)

also i find it hard to do rudder rolls with the default so I swapped Q and E so it becomes Q+D and A+E

Brother - I just sat for 22min with my mouth agape. This should be required viewing for anyone that unlocks the P-51D. I literally suck at them and after playing pretty much 2 straight years of Air RB (and am a pretty decent pilot - I thought) this has been one of the most informative videos I've ever seen. I saw so many mistakes I've been making with the P-51Ds. Wow. Mind blown.

Amazing, i love the P51s (C10/N-11 being my faves). Yet US teams are so hard to tame, theyre so fucking inept. Atleast the other benchmark fighters like the 109's, Yaks and spits are by far easier to use.

Is it possible to do all this in the p51D-20 or the J26?

It's the best WT guide I've ever seen! Lots of advanced, very useful info, good examples and music. (but sometimes you shoot too long bursts, even after the enemy already passed your reticle)
