The Army Combat Action Badge

Got mine in 2009. Didn't have orders to the unit i was attached to when i got it. When i got back to my home unit, it was taken away for not having official orders. 💔

Those who served in combat before 2001, such as Vietnam, Korea or WWII, need not apply. Wars prior to 2001 apparently are assumed to have had no combat action.

Retroactively awarded my CAB for actions on 9 July 2003 in Mosul, Iraq. Proud to be a SSG, MOS 12H, Combat Engineer (Heavy) Supervisor. So grateful for the brave soldiers, no matter their MOS, who stepped up, stood their ground, and faced the enemy in the heat of real combat. Most of all, I thank God for his protective grace, and for the brave men in my circle, who walked through hell together. Essayons! Engineers Clear the Way!
