The only recent game I've played where people were friendly was Unreal Championship. I starting playing super late in its life cycle and the player base was dying, so experienced people would be extra nice to new players and tell them to keep trying and don't give up ;_;

literally across all ranks ppl blame eachother after every game.. so much shit talking and insults. makes a role like tank a nightmare to play. if ur playing support you either heal too much or dps too much. its just so bad rn i fucking hate this game

That thing about Counter Strike players being ruthless is so true, I can fail to clutch a 1v1 and one teammate could very well be on my ass for the whole game throwing every slur in the known universe. It's not often it happens but when it does i just lose interest, mute the person and throw.

I started playing six siege and I remember the first person teaching me how to play the game was a random player who was a girl and she taught me how to play. She would frag while I droned for her and gather intel, and it was so fun. And around 2017 and 2018 the games were mostly chill or fun. There were more normal decent people back then (imo siege atleast). Even lower ranks were highly competitive. Only thing mattered was strategising and executing ur plans.
And suddenly everything changed late 2019.

I know this might sound a bit odd but when she was talking about nice comp community my mind kind of went to Fortnite as although the community as a whole is terrible the specific comp community is actually pretty damn nice. So i was pretty surprised when she brought it up and said they'd all been mean to her but with any game really it does depend on who your playing with as there's always good and bad people sadly.

One of the main reasons I don't play FPS games tbh, voice chat is a lose-lose. Either my voice isgood one day and I experience misogyny/transmisogyny, or I'm crusty and everyone thinks I'm a boy, and regardless, there's gonna be toxic/tilting chatters either way. Really wish this wasn't such an issue, team FPS games are so cool on paper or played w friends.
