The ending was kinda disappointing to me. I just feel like all those episodes and moments centered around Sue and Emily's relationship were all for nothing
ОтветитьHATED THAT FINAL, so much buildup for nothing
ОтветитьEmily die?
ОтветитьSomeone said that they don't like final episode much but i love it. The way Sue look up upstair where Emily was with satisfied eyes for the recognition of her work (as a poet). And the way Emily was afraid of Sue's jealous when she talked "how about Sue? Does she get mad at?" (When Mr. Higginsons came). Their behaviour talked much. Love them! But in real life, just hope them be best friends without shipping them as a couple is better, cause maybe it makes they keep distance, especially Hailee.
ОтветитьI feel like the last words were very poignant. “Wait for me, I’m coming” she spent so much of her life in secret and the wider world not knowing her greatness. I feel like she’s talking to the future (us) because a lot of her poems were published after her death, this is what it means. She’s telling the world to wait for her because now we know her greatness. That how I interpreted it anyway..
ОтветитьSince Maggie started telling the story I had such a melancholic feeling 🥺 tho I didn't enjoy the ending I cried a lot after seeing it was over.
Ответитьwhat crack did this woman take, seeing mermaids and shit
ОтветитьI think y’all are really missing the point of this show. It revolves around Emily’s love for poetry, not Emily’s love for sue. They were a bonus, but the story is Emily’s.
ОтветитьThis last part shows the end part of her real life her death the sea and mermaids calling her.
I don’t think there is much needed to be added here I love how it ended because it shows the real life story of Emily and not just about Emily and sue.
I wasn’t there in her past life but I feel if it was now Emily would have experienced what real love is all about and most of her poems won’t be in hiding and don’t need to be edited.
This was the real ending for Emily Dickinson. There was no happy ending for her and Sue, she was a poet and lived and died with only her art.
Ответить[in Yelena Belova's voice] Kate Bishoooop!
ОтветитьShe take off her shoes so she can paddle 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьHonouring the real life of Emily, it is the perfect ending.
ОтветитьWhen I watched it, it felt kinda inconclusive. But then I remembered, this is not the end of Emily. This is just a part of her life and life goes on. The last episode centered around Emily’s passion for poetry, imagination, creativity, her mind. Her loved ones appreciating her, loving her and accepting her for who she is.
I really really LOVE the pairing of Emily and Sue, but the show was not only about that (they had their last perfect romantic scene on the previous episode). That’s why the show is called DICKINSON, because her family was also very important to her. All of Emily’s context.
Although, I would die to see an special episode or movie after this series 👀 lest ask Apple TV+ for one…
Such a fantastic show!!
ОтветитьWhy some of you interpret the sirens as her upcoming death is a complete mystery to me. This is young Emily we're seeing, she continued living about 30 years after that. The myth of the sirens being a threat only applies to men, the travellers, it never was a threat for other women. I interpret it as her future recognition by other women (though we know she's appreciated by both women and men), us lesbians and bi women maybe, her seeking not the fame but the transmission of her words, her poems, to those who would intimately relate the most to them. Sirens are not a coincidental image, she is called by them, and she willingly goes there. The water crossed with a bark is often yes symbolic of a passage between the world of the living and the dead, but here I think it's symbolises more how Emily and us, the fans of her work today, have some sort of connection through time, how she was able to - in a way - resist death, we witness the posterity of her poems. Also Emily was gay af, hence the sirens, of course she went in the boat to join them xD
ОтветитьFan thoughts on the rest of this finale episode, fair enough. But this final scene? I don’t know why people are so disappointed by it.
The series was ultimately about Emily Dickinson and her poems, which sue was a large inspiration behind for many yes but their love story wasn’t the entire focus. It’s called Dickinson for a reason. You could argue that their story was concluded in ep 9, but the larger story (of Emily Dickinson) was concluded here.
And I can understand some interpretations of this ending being that it symbolises the end of her life. Perhaps she envisions her younger self here (because she did live as a recluse for many years after) as she approached death (mermaids/sirens).
However, we should all agree that surely it symbolises the future of her poetry and legacy. “Wait for me, I’m coming” is such a fitting final line as she sails onwards - into history. Right into even 2019-2021 where she had a whole series dedicated to her and her art and life.
The final 25 seconds was a perfect ending.
Can any1 explain what exactly happened in ep 10 I'm not able to watch it!?
ОтветитьI didn't understand the end of the series, I didn't understand what happened in the end and where is the family
ОтветитьIf the Colonel had left earlier and gave Betty the letters in Ep 9, I feel like that would’ve been a better series finale instead.
ОтветитьThis was the perfect ending I can't be the only one that got goosebumps and was crying during this scene😭
ОтветитьUmmmm isn’t she rowing backwards?! 🤔
ОтветитьShe truly is the most famous Dickinson
ОтветитьIt is sad that this show ended after three seasons
ОтветитьHell yeah its fucking good, is there any good show like this???
Ответить"I'm coming'. She finally went home 💔 I can't 😢
ОтветитьTe esperé sin saberlo, pero llegaste, tus cartas encontraron la manera de entregarse a los destinatarios, la inmortalidad.
ОтветитьPerfect ending. I commend them for the bravery, especially when you look at this comment section…
Ответитьi keep rewatching Dickinson, and I'll honestly miss this show. one of the best show I've ever watched, everything about is just perfect the storyline, the cast, the acting, EVERYTHING! worth to watch
ОтветитьFirst time watching it… honestly it was good and all and I seriously thought Emily and Sue were gonna have a fucking happy ending together like Romeo and Juliet but.. nah it’s different… lol
ОтветитьWHAT ABOUT THE DOG?!
ОтветитьDon't be sad because it ended, smile cause it happened
ОтветитьThis show was my companion during the pandemic and I think it became my favorite show. Honestly season 3 is my least favorite. Not because I didn’t like it but because the previous 2 seasons were amazing.
ОтветитьAwwwww🥺🥺🥺
What about sue then😪😪😪
I always wondered… How were they going to put a happy ending on this show, where the end of Emily’s life was so sad? But they did it. She’s sailing hopefully into her destiny. ☺️
Ответить@Laura Neal, watch and learn!
Ответитьbitch, I'm crying...
ОтветитьWill never not sob, at this scene.
ОтветитьI really have to say that after watching this series, I cried. Hailee Steinfeld brought Emily Dickinson back to life. This is one of the best movies I have seen. It's great that I watched it.
ОтветитьAlguém sabe o nome da música que toca no começo do vídeo?
ОтветитьI always thought it would be her reuniting with death one last time
ОтветитьI cried sm when I finished this show.
ОтветитьOne of the most historically accurate scenes. Just Emily in her white dress loving on her dog Carlo.
ОтветитьMy interpretation of is this is that she made her dress that made her feel free and comfortable in that she could finally see and feel herself more clearly and i think as she rowed away it shows that shes rowing into the future and says wait for me im coming as her ideas start to flo because she is finaly free and is rowing away from her past in to hopefully a more free future and the sad thing is emily did die alone whether or not that was her choice but she i think in her eyes maybe she felt as if she wasn’t alone like she had her poems but i dont think that her and sue ever got the happy ending they deserve. Im sorry if that made no sence whatsoever 😂
ОтветитьWhat a incredible show
ОтветитьDon't worry Emily you aren't forgotten.
ОтветитьNo entendí que paso con emily
Ответить❤️🖤
