Amazon's exposition: hills and rivers, silhouette of someone named Morgoth, average scuffle of football fans. The viewer doesn't understand wtf is going on.

Sauron, a foe that strayed but believed his way would bring peace, but unbeknown chose the same cruel ways of Morgoth as that's what he had known all his life to set forth Peace; Man, what can you even do when you are set on a wrong path for a good reason- you are doomed. Therefore, life is based on your actions, no matter your intentions; thus, you must do a good deed despite what the future holds or the consequence of the action. You can not know the consequences of action, but you simply a hope that a good deed will be begets good for all kinds.

I love how they use the wrong version of middle earth on the map. They show post it Beleriand collapsing into the sea.

This doesnt match with the book. Felagund didnt die in a war field. He was killed by Sauron's werewolf.

Anyone else notice how the dragons' design looked suspiciously similar to that of the Fellbeasts from PJ's trilogy? Also if you look very carefully, you can glimpse Balrogs also fighting in the background as the burning eagle falls.

The creation of Arda and the struggles against Morgoth is way too under-developed. Would be AWESOME with more movies/shows that show us all the big past events, wars, and Morgoth of course.

And that was where this show's promise ended.

I think it would have been more interesting if they had a made a show of the Silmarillion instead. I would have loved to have seen Morgoth, Ungoliant, Manwe, Varda, Yavanna, Mienna, Ulmo and Tulkas. To actually see the gods behind Tolkien's world.

I would have loved it if they had shown Ancalagon the Black, or at least his shadow, in the background during the fighting scene. Maybe a Balrog or two; because, remember, that fight was SUPPOSED to have been the War of Wrath; the greats and largest war in Middle Earth’s history - with Morgoth’s army being well over count in terms of orcs, dragons, trolls, and the last remaining of his seven Balrogs; two of which had died during Morgoth’s seige of Gondolin

Words worthy of Tolkien’s work. Coming from a military family, I couldn’t help but tear up at that heap of Elvish Helmets. Each one belonging to somebody, someone who had a family.
