Says a man that needs a mark to tell him when his wheels are stright
ОтветитьUnfortunately, I learned these fundamentals about 25 years ago after I almost killed both myself and my oldest son… came an inch away from destroying my classic Chevy Impala… a large, powerful, rear wheel drive automobile…
ОтветитьWhich piloti’s do you like wearing?
ОтветитьThis was a scary video to watch...
ОтветитьDoes your car have paddle shifters that don’t move with the steering wheel?
ОтветитьDo people driving fast ever think about other road users, or about residents in country villages, or is it just about the selfish 'need' to drive as fast as possible?
ОтветитьSince I first started driving, I have always done extensive research on the car I am about to drive. On receiving a new car, I have always taken it to a quiet place with no traffic, or people, and pushed the car as hard as it would go. This would include everything from acceleration, braking, cornering, on as many different types of surface, in order to understand how the car will respond in every situation. The results of these tests would allow me to modify my own driving style to suit the abilities of the car.
Understanding the cars limits, and your own will serve you well.
Yes, all these things are true. What any driver needs is time in the seat of any car/truck their driving. Also, I hate all the electronic crap it makes you over confident and it's a crutch for bad drivers.
Be safe and have fun even if all you have under the hood is 300hp. Speed is a minset
u should do video about u as UBER DRIVER but quick but also smooth as possible ;)
ОтветитьSounds like your target audience is new drivers. I think today's new drivers really lack basic knowledge of rules of the road. This should be part of new driver education. Its too easy to get the driver's license today without understanding some of the basics you talked about, plus the etiquette. I feel like a lot of people today are driving with high beams on, thinking its an option which works better, hence why drive with low beams.
ОтветитьWho did this guy race for?
ОтветитьDriving with one hand…😂…no mention of how you’re just a 140lbs bag of water having no control whatsoever over a car with a ton of+ of weight. 😂😂😂 This video is just a joke isn’t it?
Ответитьwe drive on the right so watch you drive on the left is so cursed :D :D
ОтветитьWork up to driving at speed, I'm talking about taking your time progressively. That's easier said than done. Kept me alive in the 90's. While there is an element of luck in a lot of things, I don't believe that happy accidents have any chance of besting preparation.
ОтветитьYou hit on one of the biggest issues I've seen with American drivers in our big V8 muscle cars. Lots of them don't understand the concept of edging the throttle on corner exit, until finally all four of your wheels are straight, and then you can step on the gas a decent amount. Slamming the pedal down when the steering wheel is still at an angle is one of the dumbest things you can do if you don't intend to drift lmao.
ОтветитьAfter all of the things you talked about early in the video, which are important, I have found that most people have no idea how their car will react in extreme situations. Track days will not give you the opportunity to find out how your car will react when you are in the middle of a mid radius turn and you slam on the brakes, I mean nail them hard with all intent to stop NOW. What happens when that obstacle jumps out at you when passing another car and you jerk the wheel left or right. How does your suspension react, how do your tires react, how do you react. There is so much that can happen that the average driver will not know how to react to, hopefully it will never happen. But if your intent is to driver spiritedly on the public roads you had better learn every minute detail about you cars reactions to input at every level. How, Why and how to deal with it.
I have seen a few of your videos and I overall like what your are doing, i.e. the thumbs up.
Know your lay out, know your grip, know where your steering wheel is ……….;)
ОтветитьAsk yourself: Do I want a deer crashing my windshield, and if so at what speed?
ОтветитьI really like the responsible but none PC attitude.
“I teach you how to drive illegally but do it right.”
For Americans watching: corner = curve. We think of corners as what you encounter at intersections.
Ответитьso your supporting toxic driving? Speed kills, so be a real man and go to the track!
ОтветитьI sometimes take corners kinda fast in my tractor trailer, but I knew the corners for years. In a tractor trailer, lots of trucks roll over because they don’t know the corner and the center of gravity is too high. Best way to drop the center of gravity, is to pop it out of gear😄. And popping it out of gear, also gives the vehicle more traction.
ОтветитьWhat vehicle are you enjoying your drive in?
Ответить"If you're going out to drive fast" I hope you're on a race track and not on the roads I drive on.
ОтветитьShocking driving skills. Steering wheel handling terrible. One hand off the wheel too often. Whey are you telling people to drive fast? because you are. Then you are making my point for me. Ridiculous I hope the police find you and caution you.
ОтветитьThe road is amazing... Check out Iindonesian roads.
ОтветитьYour whole road is one lane in america. How do you drive fast over there ☠️☠️☠️ deadly
ОтветитьAll the fundamental things you mentioned drivers should know before going fast, are just things that should be known before you drive in the first place.
ОтветитьALSO...
IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE DRIVING FAST ON PUBLIC ROADS MAKE SURE TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE THE TERMS OF YOUR INCARCERATION 😘😘
driving one handed is not a good example
Ответитьyou lost me at "no mechanical faults" :(
ОтветитьSo he's trying to teach driving skills yet takes a corner with one hand on the steering wheel and the other pointing. Anyone else see a problem here?
ОтветитьMy elder brothers and 1 sister who did drive taught me all this before I was able to drive. I was born and raised in a small town full of country roads. I am now 58 years old. And I can tell you what is behind me at least 3 cars and in front of me as far as I can see. Left and right my eyes are always peeled because of other drivers. Driving is easy. Everyone can do it. But if you are not willing to learn the basics of the vehicle you are driving and the roads in front of you. You may as well use the bus. I have driven the back wheel, front wheel and four wheel even split drive cars. Fast cars , slow cars and mostly manuals. Back wheel drive may be great, but if you don't understand it, then you will bring an end to your own life sooner. It's worth having a few track days, knowledge helps. I was lucky I had roads where no cars were on and you could clearly see. We did our donuts in private car parks, dark woods even using oil to make blue smoke from the back doors of the car rear wheels.
I have driven since I was about 15 tractors with trailers jeeps cars in fields roads forest, until I went for a driving test. Passed the first time without a lesson. You couldn't do that now, they want your cash. And so many lessons, unless you are an illegal immigrant they will pay for you. Just a matter of using your head, I have been lucky, touch wood etc, don't want to say the word in case I bring bad luck. If I have one I will blame my own mouth.
Sad to see a Brit talking about performance and driving an automatic.
ОтветитьWow... Your driver's wheel is on the wrong side
Ответить3 things you don't understand about driving fast: Don't drive fast
Ответитьcant take a guy with french car seriously sorry no hate
Ответить🦅🇵🇬
ОтветитьBrilliant teacher!
ОтветитьYou're driving a Renault, you can't be trusted 👀
ОтветитьI learned the third point on Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
ОтветитьDude drives fast and talks slow.
Ответить"For two reasons...." proceeds to give an up yours sign to the oncoming car
That must have been well confused
Step 1- Buy a well maintained manual Miata.
Step 2- learn to rev match
Step 3- start watching formula 1 or any competitive track racing n study corner entry (Lines are everything)
Step 4- after rain go to spacious empty parking lot and swing the car (learn how to clutch kick and use e brake) tip:try to control the car as it’s spinning(you control the car it doesn’t control you)
Step 5- Go out on Sunday morning for a fun but safe drive
man, as someone who lives in the California mountains, I really feel bad that these are the roads you guys have to enjoy your cars on. They look absolutely terrible for spirited driving
ОтветитьIf i will be able to take Audi A6 with whole 4x4 and 300 hp with Lanos Daewoo 1.5 100hp then i gonna confirm your tactics work.
ОтветитьNo
ОтветитьMan you deserve more subs istg amazing content! Thanks for the education!
