Do you use Local storage? How has it been ?
ОтветитьHopefully you see this. I have two of those outdoor cameras, a floodlight and a doorbell. The two cameras are hooked up to sync module but the flood light and doorbell are not. When I go into the module, it only displays the two cameras connected. I cannot find a way to connect the flood light and door bell.. I called blink and they said I need to reset my Wi-Fi and/or change to 2.4ghz which I believe I did when I installed them. Well, they want me to do it again but I can open and view real time the camera feed, it just doesn't save to the local storage. I just changed my two camera to motion detection and voila, it's saving! Now to get the flood light and doorbell working... Any ideas?

ОтветитьDo you know of a way to get the recorderd video clips to show the actual time the recording took place? The USB drive records in UTC time and is 5 hours off. I have tried changing the time zone but that doesn't work either.

Is it possible to set up the system at an external address, and send data / recording home to my NAS server, in some way for example with a wifi dongle in the usb port, or can the sync module work with a wifi router.
We have a mobile wifi router at the address.

With the blink local storage device does it record to the local storage at the same time as live view or does live view disable the recording?

ОтветитьI don’t understand what is up with mine. It does not show local storage. Only the cloud symbol. I have removed and formatted the USB AND STILL it only shows the cloud symbol.
ОтветитьIt would be REALLY freak'en nice if you tell us how you are moving from screen to screen. But I'm sure you just ASSUMED anyone looking at the video for help is fully experienced.

ОтветитьI have a new Blink door bell camera and a sync module 2. I have everything working and have a 64GB Flash drive and selected internal storage.selected....won't save nothing to USB drive. I've removed it reformated it with the link system and still saves nothing. When I re installed Software as well it does save clips to my trial online account but will not switch to local storage my USB...any ideas?

ОтветитьDo you have to delete clips on USB drive on your computer? Does it get full, even though we delete clips as they come in on our phone.

Thank you this video is very helpful. Q: I noticed you used a mini flash drive. Is there a Version (3.1) that you would recommend or are they all pretty much the same for these purposes?
ОтветитьMaybe I missed something, but all cameras have a usb or microSD option that you can pull out and watch on your computer. They all have a cloud subscription service also to watch the recordings on your phone app. So how is this different?

How long did 64GB last for your 3 cameras? Do we get any alerts if it gets full?
so with a sync module you can use a usb flash drive to store the video data on. i wonder if you could just use a usb cable and plug that into a pc and save the data to a hard drive that way

ОтветитьI put a usb stick in mine and left it for a couple of days, the app says 2% storage used and that theres no clips saved. All I can do is click live view but haven’t figured out how to save clips to review later

ОтветитьWe have recently got the Module 2 after paying 3 months of subscriptions and it stopping recording from early morning and the only way to receive them again was to physically go into the app and restart.
It took over 6 weeks with calls to BLINK to try and resolve the issue. I found only 1 agent who knew his stuff.
I got a friend to help to get them working as they should though.
Now they work fine

I got the 5 camera system from CostCo. For the price of $200 it is easily one of the best purchases I ever made from there. My trial just ran out and I had several questions about the USB storage feature. Thank you for this video as it answered my questions.

Hi sir. Issue from me..for help. Free trial finished and i plugged my usb which is clear of storage.. checked with. Camera and goto clips.. and it says no clips on usb? Do i need to reset the sync box?
