You didn't make much sense. You stated: Tier 1 will cap around 520 but yet you showed that when you turned in a Flashpoint, you received a 537... so it isn't capped at 520. Yes it matched your primary weapon but it is still 1 over what your character was.

The problem is, some of these activities give you a substantial amount of increase in power level. But you aren't able to do these because you are severely under leveled.. so there is no way to increase your power level once you hit that brick wall.. so basically you are just stuck doing daily/weekly challenges until you get up to that power level.. which now then defeats the purpose of doing the activity because it will reward gear that is now AT THAT power level. So why would they expect someone to do a nightfall at 520 when the recommended light level is 540? Or maybe I just suck at the game

the way this game is made...you play so much and grind to get very small increases. Actually it's so slow progress that when you'll get to 600 you'll be bored as f... of this game and not really enjoy the end game

Killed the Ogre and got a Prime Engram that was like 5 levels higher than I was at that moment.

Dont skimp on killing enemies all the time. You never know what they will drop.

Hey, the recommended light level is 540 for the nightfall, but I’m only 520. Should I just keep farming weeklies until 530-535?

Ok. So... I did my dailies almost a week aga and they haven't popped up a single time since then. I've done them all except the crucible ones because I don't care for crucible. Do you have to do every single daily every day for them to reset the next day? Do I need to do the weeklies as well before the dailies will reset every day?

its very possible that you are incorrect you have 2 ways that a prim or powerful gear can effect you it is either going to increase your Power Level or its going to give you a gear that mirrors your current piece but with higher master craft level. i have been playing for about 2 weeks on forsaken and have managed to get up to 575 Petra yes in fact has a better chance to upgrade you faster but not do to a tier power system its do to the current content that is why when you go and level your character before doing any of the story, say your 500 at lvl 50 you started the red campaign well you will not get any gear around your current lvl even it its a few lvls lower or your exotic quest as a example the Mida multi tool has a highest rating of 280 you have to infuse that in order to get it any higher. so my study of the gear system shows me that if you want nothing but higher chance at higher powerlvl gear you must at the end of each week infuse everything into a set of gear that has max master craft level that way it eliminates that revenue of powerfull gear. i maybe wrong but thats the same case for you because you nor i have the algorithm for power drops. i had a substantial gap in between my weapons and armor and thats cause by my weapons being maxed and my armor is not i would continue to get better weapons but shitty armor then i changed it and now i get shitty weapons. so try this and see if the out come is different i believe my way because that is why the most important infusing ingredient is so common. any questions just lmk this is what im taking from trying to get around it and clearly after 2 weeks of playing to get to 575 my weeks has been more successful.

Weekly resets? Like Division where vendor loot completely swaps? So if loot is trash tgus week, save engrams for next week n hope for te best?

I did escallation for a fuckin hour.. one prime engram. I can only figure since I am a single player Destiny guy that I'm just fucked when it comes to getting anything enjoyable out of this game.
