Ok this was cringe. And I thought Americans were the ignorant ones🙄🫣🫠 Traditionally old school cabins didn’t have running water, or electricity. Hello outhouse. But nowadays most cabins do have a modern full sized kitchen and a bathroom. My family cabin is completely ordinary yet we have a microwave, oven and a fridge, plus a bathroom with a shower. It’s not luxury. It’s the norm. Sure stile wise it’s more fancy looking and modern than your average Norwegian log cabin, but luxury? Or the most luxuries it is not🤣🤣🤣👀 And this is not really a “cabin”, but a regular vacation home in the style of a cabin, but modernized. Very common at any ski resort. A cabin is supposed to be just a smaller home, but not for permanent living, hence smaller in size and amenities. At least it used to.

The place is beautiful, very nice, but the cabin is horrible, the facade is not pretty at all and the interior does not feel cozy at all, the essence of camping is to see rustic or not so complicated things

It's impossible to overstate how devestating the cabin insdustry have been for nature in Norway. There have been a accelerating trend for 30-40 years to build cabines in somewhat untouched nature. In 2024 there are virtually no area left under the treeline witch isn't destroyed by cabin villages. Cabins are on average empty 90% of the year. It's just criminal.

Cuz i dont think an induction style stove top prevents potential fires and smoke? I think the heat plus the thing your cooking is all thats needed...
