I love sweet soup shops, sadly there aren’t that many good ones where I live overseas 😢😢

I really love your videos. You are incredibly well-learned when it comes to chinese culture and traditional food.

Hi there! I enjoy your content, but as a translator myself, I have a few suggestions regarding translating culturally specific words like 糖水 (Tangshui). When translated literally, these words often lose their original meaning and cultural significance. That’s why Japanese words are always translated phonetically like teriyaki, yakisoba, or ramen. The most effective approach is to retain the original spelling, such as Tangshui, while conveying the literal meaning. For instance, you could say, “Tangshui, meaning sweet soup or sugar water.”
