He designed the Defiant class of warships.
That's why he is a true badass.
End of the story.
All his other achievements are just icing on top.
This is why worf is intimidated by him
Ответитьremember, this was before star trek discovery
ОтветитьI love Sisko but I never trusted him or the Federation again. Quark was right about them. Like every empire, they are only benevolent when they get their way
ОтветитьI would say Worf, more than any, knows the burden of this action, and was giving the captain a second chance to reconsider.
ОтветитьMutually Assured Destruction is a viable option... Shoulda used corbomite
ОтветитьI don't know how many episodes of Star Trek I've waited for this to happen, FAFO.
ОтветитьBadass?
Sisko gave Eddington what he desperately wanted. Eddington wanted to be a hero for his cause, and Sisko played the part of a villain to catch him.
The sad thing is, Sisko thought that this was the only way to catch Eddington.
What Sisko did was not badass, it was criminal.
The Geneva Convention must have expired.
Ответитьlol also: why avery brooks is among the worst actors ever. his delivery has always been shitty af.
ОтветитьLong enough to become a villain....
ОтветитьWhat the heck happened to Prince Colwyn from Krull?
ОтветитьDon't touch our boats... Ships
ОтветитьKirk is the badass......that will never change. He earned that by piping Khan with a control rod.
ОтветитьThis and "In the Pale Moonlight" are the evidence that is Sisko is the least moral of the Captains (pre-Discovery, I haven't seen enough of the new shows to able to compare). Sisko was consistently more results focused than any of the others and the most willing to ignore what he supposedly believed about right and wrong.
ОтветитьIt's this basically how Israel is handling Hezbula?
ОтветитьIsrael going to Benjamin Sisko route.
ОтветитьThis is why Sisko is the most bad "ASS' captain... piss poor writing
ОтветитьBadass?
That’s not leadership.
This is an awesome episode but not realistic. No commanding officer would be allowed to do this act without prior approval.
ОтветитьSisko knew the exact amount of pressure to apply in situations that were too morally grey for most of Starfleet. What a wonderfully written Captain.
Ответитьthis is star trek back when star trek still existed, now discovery and such is trash
ОтветитьThis a 40K level response.
ОтветитьWar crimes are not "badass".
ОтветитьBuncha ppl don't understand this doesn't make him badass, he betrayed everything start fleet stands for by poisoning an entire planet, how many did he kill?
Ответитьworf is no hero he a bad father with no real honor
Ответить“You betrayed your uniform” and “major shut that thing off” his best acting hands down
ОтветитьBack when Trek was actually good, and not filled with crying whimpering snowflakes who talk about their feelings more than actually getting anything done. This episode, and 'In the pale moonlight' stand out as masterful examples of storytelling.
ОтветитьMan I love this scene. DS9 is so underrated
ОтветитьHe should have lost his captainse over this, exacting terror on a population to force a benifical outcome is almost the definition of terrorism.
Ответитьi always thought in this moment sisko is wrong.
eddington pushed him to betray all of siskos values.
I'm just going to say it, the only reason I was never able to get into this show was because of this guy's acting.
ОтветитьThe Captain of War.
Ответитьso by badass you mean war criminal,
ОтветитьTo be honest, the maquis were never a threat to me. Yes they were good at hiding but that’s kinda it. They were wooded out in like a seasons worth. They barely made an impact and when they did, they hurt their own allies and Siscko had enough of that. They even killed innocent people and it showed that the maquis are actual losers. When the cardassians hunted them down, it was too easy. It was because of federation protection, they went as far as they did but in their own, they ar legit losers. Even their so called heroics are forgettable and honestly, they were written well as losers.
ОтветитьWhat I like about this part of the show is that the maqui thinks it’s like a show. Look t how the guy keeps using a characters name on siscko, basically playing a game. Siscko is not Picard or anyone. He’s dead serious and tolerates nothing. That’s what I like about Siscko. He cuts the nonsense and goes straight to the point. And why he’s the most dangerous star fleet officer, later captain.
ОтветитьI just realized…. This is the moment that Siscko intimidated Worf….
ОтветитьGod be my witness, I never shall yield! Javier 🫡
ОтветитьSisko was absolutely ruthless in that episode. I wonder if he put this in the ship's log?
ОтветитьSurprised they can make even Warp 1 with Sisko's balls weighing the ship down.
ОтветитьIsrael 2024, anyone???
ОтветитьDONT TOUCH OUR BOATS !!!!
ОтветитьSisko’s like “yeah I just ordered a space war crime, give me the Starfleet ‘I can’t support this shit’ speech already or get my orders done, damnit”
ОтветитьDo I need hearing aids, or did Sisko get called Javert?
ОтветитьDon't forget the humans nuked their own planet before TWICE. They wouldn't hesitate to do it again when threatened
Ответитьjust goes to show. sometimes people don't listen to you when you warn them.
but they fucking listen when you follow through.
personal experience.
Eddington should have killed Sisko when he had the chance
ОтветитьSisko should have been Court martialed.
ОтветитьExcept he was not a human but an alien.
Ответитьnot a good comparison Javert was convinced Valjean was not reformed even when he was making amends. Eddington may have been following his own ideals , but he is no Valjean, he wasn't making amends.
Ответить
