Fernando's comments about the Contemporary Classical piece named “Piringundin”: I wrote this piece in 2000, although we officially started performing "Piringundin" live with Nick in 2006, we recorded it many times throughout the last few years. The first version was part of "Pagina De Buenos Aires", an album released by Warner Music in 2008. This video comes from a performance at the National Opera Center in New York City. The audio track is included in the album Vox, released in 2018 by Siderata Records.
Piringundín (a Lunfardo expression) is a center, usually private and with public access, dedicated especially to tango dancing, in which teaching practices, ballet training, and popular dance are carried out.
Fernando Otero is a Grammy-award-winning Argentine pianist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. Enjoy being a part of his journey as he continues to spread love from his soul of music!
