Cornbread Hemp was founded in 2018 by first cousins Eric Zipperle and Jim Higdon, both Kentucky natives. Higdon is the author of the Cornbread Mafia book in 2012, the official account of the largest marijuana bust in American history in his hometown of Lebanon, Kentucky. After the book, Higdon turned his focus to national level journalism on cannabis and hemp policy for publications like the Washington Post, Politico, and more.

It was in late 2018 that they realized the opportunity to produce a higher quality product and service then what the CBD industry was giving its consumers, not to mention the incredible history behind the story of Cornbread Hemp.

That's why the pair chose to start Cornbread Hemp - to serve as the industry leader in every manner possible. With a focus on product quality, customer service, and complete transparency, they are doing just that.
