I opted samurai uhlan, just so I can equip katanas and swords on different people. Samurai Ulhan gives enough battle lores and adreneline, seems like a good alternative.

Won't you have to choose between Tournesol or Masamune?

Is Monk with Uhlar a good combination for Penelo?

When i started the game i selected red battlemage for vaan and now i am at the garif village ,vaan has 400 hp , his attack deals 150-200 dmg and i feel stupid . Also his dark deals only 250 . Which secondary job do you reccomend for him; Note that currently he and all my other members are 13 level

I had a black and white mage samurai I think it works

Fran Red Mage/Samurai with esper for fira/thunda/blizza/aero/ga. Genji gloves + Masamune gets excellent 58% IIRC combo rate. Able to self buff/ heal/ dispel, do massive physical damage, attack flying foes with magic, and gets excellent stats.

Basch and Balthier should get the Samurai job as they have the fastest attack animation speed.

Well I did Bushi/Shikari on basch. So fuck.

Samurai uhlan for Basch

For Samurai job Baltier and Basch should give them Lordly Robes and Circle to boost max STR and Magic.

Katana for Masamune i still love Basch and Baltier for that job also for Zodiac Age.

Samurai + Foebreaker also doing very well 🎉

1) Bushi can be a late game physical powerhouse, but it has critical holes to fill: a better shield and heavy armor to go with Kumbha than the Genji set, and focus/adrenaline. More battle lores are always great, too.
2) Therefore light armor jobs like Monk and Shikari are bad. Both of those jobs also want heavy armor so it's a big mistake to put them with Bushi. Shikari makes no sense at all. Genji gloves are inferior to simply equipping Germinas boots for DPS on ninja swords.
3) Time Battlemage suffers too greatly from no access to physical passives like Focus/Adrenaline, so it is also a bad choice. Also Bushi doesn't need a ranged weapon, it has Gil Toss. Nobody wants to use crossbow, it sucks.
4) Knight is the best combo, considering what Bushi also brings to Knight. But if you want to split your Katana and Greatswords to two different users, Foebreaker is the next best option.
