The population was 41k then down to 28k because of riots. He's like why does everyone hate me?😂
ОтветитьHave to disagree. Frostpunk 1 cost about the same at launch, and had much less replayability at launch than FP2. Hell, there were only two endings to the game (and variations of that ending, of course). Here we've got many more variations, as well as the obvious 3 completely different endings.
ОтветитьI feel like the evolvers were a flawed written faction. They are the objectively wrong faction to support. Yes, they have a point that humanity probably needs to adapt to the frost but that's all they have as a faction. The rest they are just wrong about. "Oh we don't need generators to keep us warm"
"Please, by all means, live somewhere else. Oh what's that? You're still here? It's almost like you can't live without the generator. Don't need warmth? How you going to grow food? You need hothouses. Hothouses are hot for a reason. You want to hunt? Go right ahead. Make sure you don't overhunt them."
It's doubly blasphemous to even tell the city who survived a whiteout with the generator (twice btw) to go on live without the thing that has kept them for long. They really don't have an argument as a faction.
They truly are the leftards of the setting. They preach but they don't practice what they preach. At the very least the frostlanders like their job as scouts and have enough brains that they still need heat.
Arch seems to have a habit of researching/passing laws then often forgeting to make use of the unlocked building.
"M'lord! We could use automatons to frostbreak the toxic areas!"
"Good idea! *Instantly forgets to build the structure and proceeds to send more orphans in to die*.
Arch you already have a whore house. It's called Parlement.😅
ОтветитьI have not bought a full price game in a eternity but have played Frostpunk 1 a lot, dont make me eager to buy it already 🤣
ОтветитьSaying a Spartan II from Halo would get curbstomped by a Space Marine is a bit silly.

so in terms of endings ... if you go by pure numbers there's some 32 of them.
HOWEVER that comes with BIG caveats.
The caveats being what I find to be the absolute WEAKEST aspects of this game by far.
Frostpunk 1 TRULY made the two paths unique. Unique buildings, unique laws, unique conflicts and methods of resolving them.
Frostpunk 2 is slaved to the 3 morality axes. Adaptation (adapting to nature) versus Progress (subjugating nature). Merit (darwinism) versus Equality (socialis). Reason (progressiveness) versus Tradition. In the Utopia mode AND in the story the game follows the exact same pattern: you get 2 communities of people who follow ONE of the ends of an axis (in campaign Frostlanders who want adaptation and New Londoners who want Progress) and from each is born a radical faction that has something to say on ALL the axes. If you went with faith as what kept new london alive in frostpunk 1 you get the Evolvers vs Faithkeepers as arch did, if you go for order in the prologue choice you get the Pilgrims vs Stalwarts.
but wait that sounds amazing I hear you say. Yes. SOUNDS amazing.
Until you realize there is no fundamental difference in what buildings and laws you get access to in the research screen. No unique ideas. No unique laws and ways of tackling the problems the frostland presents. YOU'D THINK a conflict of eugenicist survivalists versus conservative religious fanatics would produce VASTLY different outcomes and societies than one of militarist tech fanatics (stalwarts) versus expansionist egalitarians (pilgrims).
But nope. It's the 3 axes. it's always the 3 axes. You either go for payed for shelters and base necessities or state subsidized of the same. You either go for communal raising of children or dedicated motherhood, rotating partners to maximize reproduction OR monogamous marriage as law. It's ALWAYS the exact same choices, the exact same buildings.
And most criminally of all: the exact same choice of path for new london to take. The faithkeepers want to embrace oil as the only power source and melt the snow. THE STALWARTS DO THE SAME THINGS IN THE EXACT SAME WAY WITH THE EXACT SAME UPGRADES AND EXACT SAME SEQUENCE OF OBJECTIVES. Because they are both the progress faction of that axis. The Evolvers and Pilgrims will always choose to want to expand out in the frost and learn to live in it because they are the adaptation faction, arguing we must learn to survive even if the generation someday breaks down.
So fundamentally there's only 2 REAL choices and VERY little actual difference overall in the endings WHICH IS THE WORST PART. Because of course the choice of trying to master nature via oil OR using oil as a springboard for adapting to the new world fundamentally does not impact the ending at all. The ending is only majorly influenced by ONE thing. How you handle the civil war.
Exile one faction. Make them compromise. Or become the new captain. That's it. EVERYTHING you did up to that points, how much you expanded, did you colonize winterholme by making it safe to live in or did you just loot it for cores ... NONE OF THAT MATTERS nor has any impact on the ending. Those are your 3 REAL endings.
Arch proving the game can be beaten via brute force. I can't say all those events are scripted like he claimed but he was NOT in a good spot when he started the power grab and he constantly made decisions to make things harder. Felt like he just wanted to end the game asap.
ОтветитьThis game was a massive disappointment. Glad i pirated it first.
ОтветитьNo more money until Dev is gone. No more updoots until Dev is gone. Only stick. Stick. STICK.
Ответитьsomething i did not really pay attention to untill now is where they moved the temeperature gauge. in fp1 it was large and in the top middle of your screen, among the resources but the display was larger than them. cleverly symbolisyng that the cold is your primary enemy and resource scarecity is the second. you need resources and tech to fight the cold. here it is just in the top right as a bigger number next to the temp change tracker, along with a feeling that the cold is a secondary concern to the resources and factions. might just be me remembering it wrong.
ОтветитьSo after looking atound other parts of the internet. It looks like there is a lot of Simp culture going on.. With both men and women. On the men side a pornstar on a podcast said that on only fans you can make triple in one day what you can make on the set. Which screams stupid Simps throwing money at a woman that they may never see and touch in the real world. Stupid simps. Then on the woman side. Arch himself brought up how feminists screamed about rape culture right up until Muslim rape gangs showed up and actually did a lot of raping woman . So you got the women simping on the violent Muslims. Because if they push hack too hard. They know the Muslims will kill them. So it gets to the point where you are shaking you head that our culture is slowly dying because of weak simps. So of course when I go to the SYFY channel. I see a black and white old Twilight Zone episode that starts off with a guy in a phone booth .Who is clearly a simp. Meaning that simps were in society before any of us were ever born .😮😮
ОтветитьOn the Emperor hates the Xenos. If the Tau ever gets exspantionist to ever be a real threat to the imperium of man. GW needs to have a real hive fleet go through their territory. Forceing them to adk the Imperium for help. Which after some foot dragging. The Imperium steps up to help. As they figure out that the bugs are heading to a Solar System that the Imperium desperately need.
ОтветитьSince Arch keeps having to bring up Space soliders .Thanks to chat. When we get to the point where the military needs to put people into space. Basic training in every branch of the military will have things that are simular to Asrtonaut training. To see who may be worth training. Then after basic training soliders who look competent will be offered full trianing for space combat trianing. While the others go onto their duties of their branch of the military . To go through training for space combat a year after they have served. The ones who clearly pass their training will be full time space troops. Sent out immediately into a site off world with the best equipment . The ones who get through training well enough will be considered part time. Sent out where need be and back after their duty is taken cared of. Then after that you will have The S.H.I.T. . Which stamds for So called Human Interstellar Troopers. Who went through training And come under the heading of we need bodies a bullet sponges. With hand me down level equipment. So as to do side work and be put between the decent troops and whorever is trying to kill them. I figure 1 out of every 500 too a Thousand will be full time Space troopers. 1out of a hundred of the military will be the part time. Then roughly ten percent of the military will pass for The S.H.I.T. .that is probably how a real world space military will come to be as technology inproves
