Crossing the rooms of Palazzo Massimo today is like leafing through the pages of a wonderful book. Among its four floors there are some of the greatest masterpieces of the entire artistic production of the Roman world : sculptures, reliefs, frescoes, mosaics, stuccos and sarcophagi, coming, like all the heritage of the National Roman Museum, from excavations carried out in Rome and in the surrounding area starting from 1870.
