My favorite upcoming dc serie are boostergold and lanterns , for paradise lost if the quality is good and it is a mix of game of throne and percy jackson i would love it and for movie superman legacy then swamp thing and supergirl but im interested by the autority and creature comandos , I would loved for a etrigan origin movie set in andalusia medieval spain or ottoman empire and a lobo serie with jason mamoa as alien bountyhunters with his daughter searching for surviving kryptonian for brainiac or a green lantern aka hal jordon ,hope they plan well introduction of popular charachter like aquaman , flash ,green arrow,martian manhunter ,wonderwoman where it goes with the story and not force them on it , hope they can bring also underrated charachters like vandal savage , the question , red tornado, captain atom ,big barda ,gingantica

Love Gunn, Love DC - still so very difficult to get excited for yet another reboot of the DCU

On one hand no peacemaker season 2 until waller is done, on the other hand we have someone who knows his shit

A lot of characters are unknown........bullshit it will be........man take famous characters and make story.......why making movies on these mosquitoes? Who can wait for years

Wow recast cavil but not Ezra look what Ezra has done and also I love Gunn I loved guardians and suicide squad but I can’t support Gunn if he keeps Ezra but not cavil

We need comic accurate looking versions of Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood that are as good as the Arkham versions.

In my opinion, Gal will not work going forward primarily because Gunn is working on an 8-10 year run for DC. I believe he will seek out a younger actress for the role. Plus, with the other key characters changing (Supes/Bats), it makes no real sense to keep her going forward. With Ezra Miller also up in the air and supposedly Jason Momoa's Aquaman the only one seemingly greenlighted for the new DCU, it flat out doesn't make sense to keep Momoa and get rid of the main cast majority. I still believe Momoa will be changed down the line and likely switch to Lobo while they find a new younger Arthur Curry for Aquaman.

Something I focus on primarily this Chapter 1 is what is movies and what is HBO Max Originals via live-action or animation. Commandos are animation, Waller, Lanterns, Paradise Lost, and Swamp Thing on HBO Max, and the rest are movies - Supes, The Authority, Booster Gold, Brave and the Bold, and Supergirl. With 5 films out for the first chapter, this does leave room for expansion as Gunn has hinted toward, claiming that this not even half of what's in store. But I'm sure in that, he may also be factoring in more HBO Max possibilities as well as games.

The good thing about this comes back to the meat and potatoes of the storytelling being the films and what else we can potentially look forward to. My personal hope though is that we will get a Green Arrow production, but I'm inclined to think it might make its way to HBO Max as live-action even though it would be great as a film. This would naturally give way to the entrance of Black Canary. I wouldn't be surprised if we get 2 more DC Films somewhere on this Chapter 1 Timeline, but it's important James Gunn chooses QUALITY over QUANTITY. As he fine-tunes what he wants out of the DC storyline for cohesion and a running through line, less can be more and I believe he'll find that to be the case here. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new Wonder Woman film as a possible entry, especially with Paradise Lost being made on HBO Max as the preface for what was going on before Wonder Woman's creation. And the second film possibly being a new Flash film with a new Flash lead for this new DCU.

The DC Fandom has exciting times ahead and I'm glad Gunn has proper concern for quality writing, DC source material and cohesion in mind. With the combination of key staples and obscure titles that Gunn has proven he is great at making known, this is truly going to be a fresh, cinematic DC Universe that can open up a vast, new array of possibilities.

This is why I didn't want James Gunn or any of them running dcu! You guys are happy about midnighter and crap but when it comes to the originals! You don't care! These directors have no idea what they are doing! They have no plans and out of both of them! Only one has made super hero movies! And even he doesn't know what he is doing! Yay for midnighter and cartoon movies! They tried to get away with getting rid of the superman Henry Cavil but can't because of a breaking a contract which those idiots said that he is gone and they are starting new actors but didn't know the contract for those actors and they run this part of dcu! About a year since they have taken over and everyone screams awesome for a animated dcu movie! This is why mcu does better than dcu! They should have never picked these 2 idiots!

This is a average movie universe

I'm not excited about any of this. I think they are overthinking everything and I'm almost turned off about this whole DC revolution. Ive been a DC fan all my life and I actually loved the old continuity. But now I think they have a guy who thinks he's smarter than everyone else and he's going to destroy my favorite comic book universe. I hope I'm wrong.

Ezra Miller is definitely not coming back.

I'm a lifelong A1 DC fanboy and I love what I'm hearing. First of all a coherent timeline with a Superman and Batman project, and various off beat DC characters, but they're still letting Matt Reeves do his Batman thing, Since their Wildstorm days the Authority have been an alternative to the Justice League, a team who are willing to cross the lines the League won't like ousting a dictator, that's the project I'm most excited about. Creature Commandos are the weird and wacky sort of characters perfect for Gunn. Waller is a good vehicle to introduce new characters to the audience. Time travel shenanigans with Booster Gold. Best of all a Superman who actually has morals!

I think the slate looks very interesting. Never heard of the Creature Comadoes but I'm definitely interested to know who they are. Superman: Legecy and The Brave and the Bold are the two that I'm most excited about. I own an animated movie called Son of Batman so to see and have a live action version of it is going to be Awesome. I also think Wonder Woman's introduction sounds very interesting as well. I believe that it will definitely work and I can't wait for it too.

I don't know how to feel about this. The messed up nature of the DCEU made me feel like there needs to be a hard reboot. The fact there is a reboot but not necessarily hard means on some level it will be messy. I also don't like that Batman is skipping over three Robins and get straight to Damian. I don't want to see Nightwing already as Nightwing, I want to see Dick Grayson grow and take the mantle when its time.

These are some VERY strange picks for a full reboot. Creature something; Waller??? The Brave and the Bold? BOOSTER GOLD??? (I mean, he's a fun character, but really???) A full show on the Amazons? Why? A True Detective spin on the two Earth Lanterns...sounds pretty dark. And why a Supergirl film? This character has never really found her footing on screen, so we are going for it again? There is already a Superman that has been run into the ground. And Swamp Thing of all characters? Didn't Swamp Thing get a show recently that was cancelled almost instantly? Where are Green Arrow and Black Canary? The Titans? Even a Legion of Doom film or TV show with all the major villains? And if they are using strong comic arcs, why not use Identity Crisis or Darkest Night, etc? I have faith in James Gunn's writing, but he is only one guy. This list is flimsy with characters, so I REALLY hope he is leaning on the building of STRONGER characters (like he did with the Guardians) to bring the entertainment.

Excited about 4 out of 5 members of that creative team. The watchmen series was painfully bad and I can’t imagine the person who was so arrogant to take on the role of pushing that bastardized demon child of a series into existence, could possibly have anything but terrible ideas. I was surprised to hear they made that show and then I heard it got some positive reviews so I eagerly decided to watch it....I sat there dumbly looking at the screen as the first two episodes ran. After the second episode my partner and I both looked at each other a at the same time asked the other person if they thought it what really terrible. Then we laughed and shut it off and took our dog for a walk in the rain.

Banking on video games to tie into movie continuity sounds like a recipe for disaster. Games aren’t made like movies and series. One delay could cause serious repercussions to the continuity of the universe.

With that being said - I hope the DCU is a JL reboot. Let me clarify: reboot all of the Justice League Characters.
Keep Amanda Waller & The Suicide Squad - I’m fine with that. I’m sure it’s easily explained after the Flash film and those versions of the characters are not a hard tie-in w/ Snyder-verse.

Keep: TSS, Peacemaker, AW.
Reboot: Flash, Aqua, WW, Bat, & Supes.

But Muh Batman, the Joker & Suicide Squad …. In the multiverse Superman is played by Cavill, Reeves, Routh, Hoechlin… and other versions of Cavill, Routh, Hoechlin etc.. Waller & Harley - same - as far as I’m concerned you’ve got Suicide Squad & TSS they already seem like 2 different universes.

TSS feels like a reboot to me & a damm good one. I really didn’t want to make this comparison but SS vs TSS …TSS is a better movie to me.

We’ve been with this universe 10 yrs & I’m looking fwd to the flash film. The old Universe is winding down to a close, and it would only have had (like I said before) a few more films in it before it would have been wrapped up.. but now we have endless story & character possibility to enjoy.
Gunn you say most of the right stuff … cool … but now game on brotha time to deliver the goods!!!

If the stories are great & the characters are cast with care & directors have a vision then I’m all in… but if you want 10-15 yrs of my money!!

Do not Race Swap characters unless it serves the characters & story or the Actor is just so damm good it would be a shame not to cast them!)

Bring the Best Of What these Characters Stand For to Life!
Honor what has come before in spirit!
Good Example: Top Gun 2 & Cobra Kai
Bad Example: Star Wars Sequels

If that ideal or line is said in your Superman Legacy Movie
The Fans Will Believe!

America & the World Needed a Hero then & We need one now more than Ever!
