For those like myself who had the opportunity to play doom PC game on release date on December 10, 1993. I suddenly realized, my PC running 386-DX20 was incapable of running Doom Properly. I used all my savings to get latest Intel 486-DX2-66 and a Sound Blaster 16 sound card 2 days later. Put my Sony Hi-Fi system for which I paid $1200 in Dec 1992, use a high quality 3.5mm to RCA cable and I was the envy of my neighborhood and friends. Greatest memory of my college years.
