Thanks for the honest review. My wife and I were discussing doing the RV rental thing, but I think we'll stick with driving our own car and rent a hotel room.

Great review Miles! You addressed my fears of 20' in that layout being just too small and those cushions are unusable.

I been RVing in C class motorhome I own for 30 years.
Maybe 20 years ago you could pull off road and sleep or find a camp ground to stay the night with no reservations needed. But those days have changed. At the height of the summer season if you don’t book 6 mounts minimal in advance you won’t get a spot in most state and national parks maybe a day here or there during the week you’ll find a spot forget weekends. There is a lot more to know about hopping in rental RV and just taking off. If you do plan a whole trip out before you even get rental plan and book reservations for your whole round trip or it could be a frustrating experience. Doing this is in state and federal parks you can save a lot on camp sites as little as 35 per night with electric and water. Most you will dump tanks on way out of park. The whole experience is great if you have done it for awhile using RV leveling unit it literally takes years to know your way around RV and where to stay and what to stay away from. It’s not just renting and going do a lot of research watch utube videos to understand how all this lifestyle works. Finally if you’re not a handy person that can’t do any mechanical work. Rent a car and stay at hotels.
