I dont really agree that natural fibre composites are sustainable if the matrices are thermoset based. Or did you use a different matrix system? Either way, natural fibres will always be unpredictable in terms of mechanical performance from batch to batch which is why i dont see motorsports teams changing from CF or GF to NF. Also stiffness and strength of NF does not suffice to be a candidate for CF replacement - here CF is unbeaten. However, in impact applications there could be a certain advantage of NF vs CF.

I'm interested in the possibility your power rib technology has to offer in terms of strength but is there a way to use it bonded to a peice of wood but still create a flat outer surface?

have you thought about introducing graphene into the epoxy matrix? the increase in mechanical performance seems evident and sensational.
