Try to read Zeke by Wodke Hawkinson
ОтветитьLove your recommendations :)
ОтветитьGreat YA thriller of the year is Victoria Scott Violet Grenade, it will mess with your mind
ОтветитьDare me by Megan Abbott is really good.
ОтветитьI’ve read Wink Poppy Midnight and recently The Accident Season and really enjoyed them both. They’re more mystery than thriller but if you like books that keep you guessing I think they’re worth a read. I also found that they delved into life as a teenager and the awful things that can occur along with the friendships that you form.
ОтветитьI listened to Wink, Poppy, Midnight on audiobook and it was very eerie but the writing is very lyrical. There were different voice actors for each of the main characters which added to the appeal! It reminded my of We Were Liars but a winter/rural version. It’s very short too! Would love to hear your thoughts on it
ОтветитьThe James Dawson books sound great! Someone just recently recommended Dangerous Girls to me so I'll be reading it soon, they said it was similar to With Malice which I read and loved - another YA mystery/thriller, a girl wakes up in hospital after a trip to Italy with no memory of what happened and the police asking questions. Highly recommend that one :)
ОтветитьI need to get to One of Us is Lying!!! I read We Are Liars and loved it so so much! Adding a few of these to my TBR! Thank you.
ОтветитьOooh all of them sound so intriguing, all of then are going on my TBR! YA thrillers are so much fun. Also, I agree, the reason I liked 'One of Us is Lying' so much was because of how much I enjoyed every single perspective, which is rare for me. And while I do prefer being thrilled and frightened over a mystery, it didn't matter that 'One Of Us' was more mysterious because I genuinely liked every single one of the characters and they kept me reading (along with curiosity as to who did it lol.) IM SO EXCITED you'll be reading Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas! Its one of my favorite YA thrillers, along with her other book 'Dangerous Boys'! You should give that one a try too, its a lot more slower and more of a character study than Dangerous Girls (which is more fast-paced) but I think you might enjoy it too! 'Dangerous Girls' & 'Dangerous Boys' aren't companions or sequels to each other. Despite the similar titles, they're two completely different books that have nothing to do with one another. Just a heads up because a lot of people get confused about that or assume they're related somehow ♡♡♡ Another YA thriller I recently read was 'With Malice' by Eileen Cook which wasn't my favorite YA thriller ive ever read but It was incredibly well-written and I think you may enjoy it.♡♡♡
Ответитьwe were liars messed me up SO BAD it was so good
ОтветитьDefinitely want to read cruel summer now! Have you read dangerous girls by Abigail Haas? Really liked that one. Last month I read a string of bad thrillers so I'm trying to get back in the mood !
ОтветитьWhat are everyone's thoughts on we were liars? Did you not see ending coming?
Ответитьyour fantastic!😁
Ответитьi'm reading one of us is lying rn and i feel kinda meh about it. tbf i'm only at page 78 lol
ОтветитьI found Boy 7 quite interesting. I think the author is Dutch... There's also a movie but that was pretty bad. The book was good fun though. :)
ОтветитьI've requested One of Us is Lying and We Were Liars at the library. I've heard of WWL before but I never had the desire to pick it up, but after seeing this video and hearing so much about it I decided it might be something I'd rather enjoy!
ОтветитьI love Cathy MacPhail and E Lockhart!
ОтветитьWould The Virgin Suicides fit into that genre? I can't decide if it does! i would recommend that if it does! even though the ending is at the beginning of the book you spend the rest of the time trying to figure out how they got to that point!
