I was an immigrant too decades ago, and remember I wasn't allowed to enter 1st Grade until I knew enough English to get by. That was a challenging transition. I am so very Proud of you Dr Myro🎊👍❤️

My mom, uncle & grandparents were immigrants. My grandfather was a doctor in Hungary. Came here not knowing a word of English. He & my grandmother took jobs as a janitor & cleaning houses to get out of the camp. He went to night school. My mom & uncle were set back a grade & given Hungary/English dictionaries. Both were on honor roll by end of the year. My grandparents spoke perfect English & my grandfather became a wine chemist.
