FALLEN TREE BRANCH CLAIMS LIFE OF COFFEE FARMER IN MALDARE AMID STORM

In Maldare village of Virajpet taluk, Kodagu district, Vishnu Belliyappa (64), a former gram panchayat member and coffee farmer, died after being struck by a falling tree branch during heavy wind and rain. The incident occurred when he stepped out of his house and was hit by a branch weakened by the storm. He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Siddapur Government Hospital but succumbed before treatment could be given. Local officials visited the site, and a case has been registered at Siddapur Police Station.
