ОтветитьThank you for the information and sharing your experiences. I have not yet applied for the pensionado visa, but I've been figuring out my banking plan. Thanks for breaking things down.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing Maggie. Great video!
ОтветитьHave you been getting some conflicting information about how to secure a first apartment in Panama City? What about opening a bank account...I got inaccurate information when I was getting ready to sign up. Let me know in the comments some inaccurate information you were given. Let's chat.
ОтветитьGreat information, thank you so much Maggie😀
ОтветитьFYI: your audio has a lot of feedback. But, Great content!!
ОтветитьThx. Good info again. I m learning from Canada.
ОтветитьMaggie, Another great video- congrats on 3k subscribers! If people are from the US & have never had a bank acct in other countries, its a surprise how more involved it is in other countries. Panama used to be far more lax on letting people open up accts years ago if the were only visiting, but started to close accts about 2 years ago that weren't active. By active that means no transactions over a 6 month period. Multi-Bank and other were closing accts down.
So, now as you point out they want to see that people are residents. When I got my bank acct, I brought in my passport, temporary card, letter from my US Bank that I was in good standing, Soc Security letter, letter from my attorney plus a copy of my rental lease. I also included a letter from someone I knew in Panama, but that was not required. The process took about 2.5 hours. I only put $1,000 in the bank, I've heard some people have put as little as $100 in to open an acct, but I thought it looked better to have at least that much in my acct. Yes, they really look at your signature & have been asked to redo my signature in the 'past.
Great info Ms. Maggie. Everything you said is on point. I just got back from Panama and it's definitely different being there scouting and really seeing things I'll say "live and direct" 😊 as opposed to looking at rentals online. Congrats on your milestones🎉
ОтветитьGreat video Ms Maggie, information was very helpful. What's area you recommend for an airbnb for 1 month, thanks
ОтветитьMaggie, when traveling I have been using the Costco Citi Card which does not charge a fee for foreign transactions. Would that be an option in Panamá while on a scouting trip?
ОтветитьI'm not retired but I so wanted to meet you when I visited recently!
ОтветитьThanks for another great video. You always give such valuable, realistic tips. Safety is an important consideration for EVERYONE, not just single women. Crime doesn’t discriminate! 😉
ОтветитьGreat information as always Maggie you are giving me some things to think about that I haven't considered thank you
ОтветитьHola MS Maggie, I’ve been to panama 2 times and I love it there , i would definitely make it my home however, I normally stay in the city of panama. Where do you refer me to stay so I can gather more information and an area where the Airbnb are much cheaper ? I want to move with my 11 yr old son and I’m 32yrs of age.
ОтветитьGreat conversation Maggie! Thank you for all the info.
ОтветитьAmén🙏🏻to volunteer work
ОтветитьI'm new to your channel and I am really enjoying your down to earth, uncomplicated , and practical information that you share and your personality flows clam and easy. Thank you and may Yahuah continue to bless you.
ОтветитьHi Ms Maggie. I’m loving your videos. Very informative. I have a question that maybe you can answer. I plan on renting for six months before I make a final decision. What do I do as far as a bank account so I can pay my rent, or other bills while there. (for the six months) Is it wise to open an account if I haven’t made up my mind? Thanking you in advance for any info you can provide. I didn’t mention that I’m scared to make that move. (But I want to) Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more. I do hope I get to meet you in my journey to Panama. Chrystal
ОтветитьThank you so much. I really like all the practical information you give.
