Sligachan, on the way from the Skye bridge to Portree, is a great stop. It has a camping site, a pub-restaurant and maybe the most photographed bridge in the Highlands. Over the bridge there is a gentle but scenic walk through the Cuillins.

Been at the fairy pools by myself (I'm not from the UK) and it was amazing. But I have seen people in there sitting like it was a Whirpool :0 It was crazy, the water had around 5°C!

I see that you first posted this video in September, but was that when you actually shot the video. Trying to gauge whether I need to bring or buy a down vest or jacket if I'm coming end of July/August.

In the 90’s you’d have these places to yourself pretty much but now everywhere is commercialised on Skye and full of people. The atmosphere is long gone.

Hello, I am glad to find your video. We are planning to go to Scotland highlands in July from London. I have done a few research , someone mentioned that the mobile single is very poor, therefore, it’s not easy to drive around if you don’t know the way around area, is that true?

One thing about the UK they will stick a pay car park anywhere and everywhere than can. It's one thing you dont see much of in the rural US.

I first saw the "Isle of Sky" by visiting Dr. Iian McGilchrist home, with his books and lectures and a few other documentaries.

Amazing place to stay I have called Skye home for 13 year's, the influx of campervans has made it hard to get from a to b without getting stuck behind one park where they want dump rubbish at the road side take up more space than a car overpopulate the tourist attractions that have now lost their magic, it's that bad police are now involved so sad the minority spoil it for the majority

Hi. My daughter and I are visiting Scotland, and visiting Isle of Skye. Your video is great. I am wondering about your comment, ‘getting back to your car before the 3hrs parking time ran out’. Would you please explain the parking fees timetable? That is, if we walked the full trail, it would be more than 3hrs. Are the fees incremental? I am more concerned of the rental car getting towed off if not not back in x time. Thank you kindly
