This is a great robot and I've seen a TON of them in my quest to make a balancing robot. I'm going to build one like this, different parts (eg stepper motors) but with the same elegant design. I like the fact that there is no BASE, just two legs, makes it look so ..."real!" And by sandwiching the electronics between two acrylic plates, because it is not that wide across, appears like there is nothing there! Other robots always show their electronics on top, usually on a base which holds the motors for direct drive. I'm impressed with the elegance of the design, and of course, the smoothness of travel. I'm putting my PID controls on the front, like buttons on a shirt.
