Ultimately, I think the grand jury made the right choice for the father. But with that being said, this whole situation really seems like there’s more to it. It’s not necessarily that there is anything wrong here, it’s just so odd. Also, the lack of details leaves a lot to be desired, did they find out if he was actually on drugs? Everyone is judging the neighbor for his odd reaction, but I totally get his reaction. That's the reaction of a nervous man who came upon a shooting. Now even though he knew his neighbor, for all he knew his neighbor could have gone off the deep end and this could have been some kind of domestic violence thing where they could've end up being shot as well. You know the television interviews when the neighbor is being interviewed and says, "I could never have imagined my neighbor doing something like that, he was such a good man." Shit happens like that". None of us know how we would react in that situation. God Bless the father for defending his family.

The girl's dad provided an excellent example of what NOT to do in the aftermath of a shooting like this. NEVER answer questions by police immediately afterwards. Tell the investigators you intend to help them understand what happened but you need to TALK TO YOUR LAWYER FIRST before discussing details of the incident. That grand jury often ends up going the other way even though it was clearly a legitimate shoot. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by cooperating your way to prison as this happens more than most realize...

Idk how anyone could think the father needs charged, as if he was totally unscathed from this. Not only the mental turmoil from resorting to such a thing but even the hurt this incident has caused the suspects family/friends could prove troublesome and dangerous for the father or even their family, there is no winner here.
