This was a very weird video…
ОтветитьGirlies I’m out. It’s frustrating to hear this coming from someone who often complains about 'chronic pain' as the reason for delays or issues when it’s hard to even say if these claims are even entirely rooted in legitimate medical concerns 🥴 unsubscribing
ОтветитьThe fact that she very clearly admitted to going into the event dehydrated and already having issues would most likely remove any liability from anyone. She had 2 days to get hydrated. To go to a Dr and get an IV or just pound water and she didn't. I'd be willing to bet that even if there was water (which it sounds like there actually was), she probably still would've had to go to the hospital because you can't just magically cure that level of dehydration that she was already experiencing at an outdoor event with water bottles. Unless she drank an entire pallet or 2 but she couldn't even get it under control the days before. Nobody's responsibility but her own.
ОтветитьHeatstroke can kill you, have you ever worked in the sun? They regularly do intensive all day training courses to prevent this. Yes pre-existing conditions, but if the conditions that day exacerbated it, Patrick is responsible? This is a disabled trans women ofc she would want her bills paid from something that almost killed her, that's a labour rights issue but the way you both have been talking and dismissing her feels off, seems like a lot of bias here.
ОтветитьRemember when Jessie got absolutely incensed at Matt Rife for making a joke about women constantly giving weight to astrology for everything in their life?
Jessie just tried to figure out the astrological sign of a dog...
Thank God lily is on this podcast cuz Jessie bugs the piss out of me.
Also...stop pausing videos every 5 seconds to bitch for 15 minutes about things you've already talked about. You are beginning to sound extremely low grade snippy.
ОтветитьRegarding paying for services prior to care at a hospital, the hospital I work at sometimes will do this for non-emergent things. Things usually for individuals with accounts in collections or bad standing. So things like a follow up to ophthalmology very well could require pre payment.
Ответитьall these comments talking about organs failing like the girls didn’t come to the same conclusion… like the discussion is on something entirely different
ОтветитьI love watching you guys but the commentary about Jools is really upsetting. Patrick Starr seems like a really bad person. I think that carrot comment from Patrick was absolutely disgusting. Like yes Jools is an adult who should have probably advocated for herself at the event a bit more but that can be hard to do sometimes. I used to work outside in the summers doing various labour jobs, one time I was so hot I was feeling sick, I went and told my super visor and they just looked at me and said “everyone else seems fine”. The only thing really different from me and the other people was that I was bit bigger an taller then them with no health conditions that could make me susceptible to heat stroke/exhaustion. Soo ya saying that other people weren’t sick so it must be due to a pre existing condition is a pretty ignorant take.
ОтветитьI haven't seen the Comments section this blood-thirsty since the leftist influencer episode. rubs hands in glee
ОтветитьThe hot air balloon drama was so light hearted and refreshing. Thank y’all for that. Hope we can keep finding these silly stories!
ОтветитьBro so glad I went into the comments I was feeling a little crazy 😂
If some sort of accident where Jools broke her leg and then required surgeries and follow-up appointments you wouldn’t be like “oh you know what good for bones, milk”
If the issues is Jules already had a pre-condition then that is something that the company should have checked, and when it was a really hot day, possibly run it by her or figured out if that was gonna be okay for her, not just let her work. This isn’t just friends hang out. This is a company and corporation hiring someone to work for them even if they’re not running the full event they are the reason Jools is there.
Imo if a brand is covering a trip for me. With flights and especially hotel included. And those two do not have AC. I would in fact blame it on them that I’m sweating and dehydrated. Like what? “One size takes care of their creators” that doesn’t seem to be the case? And also yes if their creator at the event passes out because they’re not regularly checking on them to make sure they’re taking breaks, having water and not overheating. It’s their fault in part because they didn’t put those guardrails up to protect their creators??? Jools could have lost her life and I’m supposed to be behind the makeup brand because the Jessi and Lily like Patrick star? Like how does that make sense?
ОтветитьHappy birthday lil Max!! 🎉❤
ОтветитьGen X is 1965 and 1980 and legal working age is 14-16 so an actual tween? Why'd she first call her a woman? lmao
Ответитьthe pimple patch woman is like 26/27 why is she acting like she’s a little girl lol?
ОтветитьImagine if someone broke their leg on a job and the CEO of the company said “I heard milk is good for bones” I WOULD FLIP
ОтветитьYou were confidently wrong about what heat stroke is, confidently wrong that you can leave any hospital without paying (you are so privileged that you’ve never been in a situation where you are kept in the hospital with financial staff harassing you)
And you barely addressed the point which is that Patrick blacklisted Jools (do you know Patrick’s history???)
This one is really bad girlies.
You guys thinking you can’t go numb or lose vision from heat stroke is insane… you really didn’t do a lick of research for this one huh?
ОтветитьHR girlie here. One/Size violated basic workplace safety guidelines by putting someone that they knew was not acclimated to heat into a hot workplace environment. They flew her in from a cooler climate. It is on the employer to give the employee time to acclimate. Even people who are used to the local climate are supposed to be eased into positions working outdoors over a weeklong period. I understand that this was a one time thing, but that doesn't change the expectation because your body still requires time to adapt. Asking someone with a condition that causes dehydration to do it was reckless at best.
I understand why you'd want to defend your friend, but if One/Size has HR, then they knew this. Jools wouldn't have known the duration, shade availability, access to water, access to moving air, etc so it is on the employer to either give her time to acclimate or take extra steps to ensure she was staying cool and hydrated. It only takes a couple of minutes for a person to go from "I'm thirsty" to heat-related confusion. Honestly, it was poor judgment to ask her to do this particular event. I hope you girlies will reevaluate and maybe update your take on this. I don't think it was malicious at all, but you did miss the mark on this one.
I’m literally the biggest fan of this podcast but this episode is insane… Can not believe we are now speculating on others medical conditions and being so confidently wrong about the facts.
ОтветитьYikes 😬
ОтветитьYall I blow glass and I have had one heat stroke and it was SCARY! I was feeling like I was dying, my brain was not working (and I mean not able to get my body to do things or make thoughts it was horrible) and I dragged myself to a sink and ran cold water over my head. I was in such a survival mode and I remember hearing my dad’s voice yelling at me to get cool where the blood is and I did what I could. It was so scary but I felt better after 10 minutes of the cold water taking the heat out of my body. I did begin to feel normal after three days of feeling bad and I avoid the signs now because it was so bad.
Edit: it was 100° F outside August in NYC without 2000°F + equipment running all day.
Girlies I LOVE you guys, I’ve watched every single episode more than once, and this just left a terrible taste in my mouth. As someone with Lupus who has been in bed for 3 days due to a flare up, this feels the equivalent of people saying to me,” oh well you don’t look sick.” Just because I have a pre existing condition of lupus does that mean I should not spend any time outside like other people can? No it just means I need extra accommodations and a little extra thought. :( maybe next time avoid medical topics, or do a little independent research on the health diagnoses/conditions. Very disappointing and discouraging:/
Ответитьi didn't know people were so ill informed about heat strokes, all of this could've been prevented with a google search about the topic.
ОтветитьAlso we don’t know if anyone else at pride during that event went to the hospital for heat stroke or heat exhaustion
ОтветитьI feel like you guys are overanalyzing every little thing she says, and while I know Jessi acknowledged that obviously in an emergency you don’t note every minute detail of your experience, the nit picking of her retelling is kind of unfair to her overall experience. Do I think sometimes people will try to extract every little bit of money they can from situations? Definitely. But I also think it’s VERY possible that Patrick was upset about the bad press his company was getting from Jool getting so sick and in being catty or whatever bad mouthed her to other business owners (that he would likely be close too bc he’s an influencer and business owner).
ОтветитьThe researcher had the week off, huh? Ily girlies, but that first topic was a hard watch... There's a huge difference between het exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat stroke IS that serious.
ОтветитьUnrelated to the main but related to the teaser, as someone who watched creepshow art from first upload to final/downfall...that shit went DEEP
I cant even rewatch it bc its so triggering and angering, absolutely vile human being
I wore pimple patches out today when I went to pick up paint for my quad at Home Depot. I wear them whenever I want. No one cares! And if they say something they have nothing better to do with their day! Wear your pimple patches out! 💖💖
ОтветитьI have watched for years and mean this with love the mark was missed with the first story. Heat stroke could have 100% done all of that. I have watched every episode so i mean no hate.
ОтветитьYou guys missed the mark on this one. The Patrick/ jools story was one where you guys should have just not commented.
ОтветитьI’m a hardcore fan but this one left a bad taste i can’t even finish it.
ОтветитьPimple patches when in the food industry are important. Also, make sure you get the colorful ones so that if they fall off for any reason, you can find it.
Ответитьi have lost my vision and feeling to my limbs just from heat EXHAUSTION! heat stroke is literally boiling your brain and body. preexisting conditions may cause it to happen quicker, but anyone can suffer from it, and it comes on fairly quickly. we also have to remember how often queer, especially trans folk, die because of medical neglect. jools being very emotional is reasonable i think, it’s very scary to have disabilities and be trans and to feel like no one is bothering to care to even hear her. i do think maybe you guys should rethink your take on this one
ОтветитьJessi digesting the sock styles is sending me over the edge.
ОтветитьThey have to sedate the animals before they airlift them. Ed was fully in a k hole lmao
ОтветитьI hate the star patches but because I think they're very scammy, they don't work that well to help with your pimple situation, like they're more to show off the lil stars. In comparison to the other patches that actually do help out
Ответитьthis feels mean:(
ОтветитьI dont know who this person is but they come across as very messy. Not very demure
ОтветитьPreexisting conditions due not matter when it comes to workplace injury. If anything they know she has hyperhydrosis so they need to make accommodations to prevent such situation. Granted yes this is on the employee's part to communicate these conditions directly with the employer to ensure such accommodations. Regardless, this happened while she was fulfilling duties that were assumingly on contract and is fully entitled to worker's comp.
For example, I have hip dysplasia so my hip joints aren't super stable. If I fall and break my hip at work, my employer needs to cover the medical expenses because it was a work-related injury.
In the case of Jool, part of her job was being outside in the heat. She got heat stroke due to how long she was outside in the heat. Therefore it is a work-related injury.
There are formal processes for disputing a comp claim on the companies behalf, but this is on the employers part because they need to prove they held up safe and proper work conditions to avoid such incidents. That burden of proof is on the company though, not Jool. Patrick is soooooo wrong on this one, he needs to have proper insurance in place in case of such injuries. And yes in fact if the medical evidence links her loss of vision to the heatstroke then that compensation extends to that as well.
I really hope to see yall address this! I think yall really went too hard on the poor gal. I think yall believed the tiktok comments you were seeing a little too much and hopped on a mob mentality.
LMAOOOOO THE SEA LION PANIC ATTACK HAD ME CRYINGGGG 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 the edits of them is PERFECT hahahahah
ОтветитьThe fact that people are telling you to “address” this episode next week…. Because you weren’t sure if organs can fail from heat stroke.. but then corrected yourself saying maybe they can ☠️☠️☠️ people are weird. Bless your hearts girlies.. for dealing with the internet. I couldn’t do it 🙃
ОтветитьI think Jules is milking the situation and thinks that just because Patrick has money he should fork it over. Sorry but, just because someone is a millionaire doesn't mean you're owed any of it.
ОтветитьJudging based on the comments, you missed the mark with the heat stroke discussion. Definitely felt fatphobic and with no research of the serious medical or legal issues. To assume its "pre existing conditions" and to blame the individual over the company they were working for feels very scummy. Hope we get an update to this where you discuss the great info in this comment section.
