Dude it's wild watching people spend that much money on boxes.
ОтветитьTbh, I'm so tempted cause I can get a jap collector box for $425 right now....
ОтветитьJust play Arena well worth it, I'd rather spend $100 on Arena and play rather than this.
ОтветитьI feel so blessed I got mine for 570 bucks out in Austin Texas.
Ответить"Why can't I find any FF booster boxes.."
Oh right, this fucking guy.
But who is gonna buy all these so expensive cards???
ОтветитьI've not seen any unboxing where people made their moneys worth.
ОтветитьFind better hobbies.
ОтветитьCollector boosters were absurd as is. I like FF but don’t buy these damn things. Stick with the play boosters.
ОтветитьI tend to get in early on every new set that comes out which usually removes all the drama of buying high etc. I get them from msrp and I let Wizard be the bad guy on price increases. I personally have only had great experiences with collectors/set boosters/play boosters since returning to the game. What I will say is that I had already made my money back within opening 3 packs of my collector's box and I know many others had similar experiences. Some of the questions I find myself thinking about are:
What if I'm not opening just to sell these cards (I'm not), what do I place the value of this box on at that point?
Is it that I was able to net several high value cards for my own collection? Is it that I'm filling out my collection with a lot more full art, alt art, common/uncommon/rares?
Do I place the value in the experience of opening the packs?
It is a really grey area that I'm not sure how to feel about but what I will say is that I paid $440 for my collector's box and I far exceeded the value of what I paid for it and even if I pulled absolute duds, this set (as a fan of both final fantasy and magic) checked all the boxes. It's been a very long time since I sat and admired/read every single card I pulled whether it was a $250 card or a cheap uncommon that harkened back to a game I played as a child. I think these questions can only be answered by individual openers which makes it a really hard argument. There are a lot of great cards with great arts that are selling for pennies to a dollar and for the most part I think a lot of these cards will be accessible or at least no more or less than we have seen from previous sets.
I do think that it is very upsetting that prices have become so out of hand that even the cheapest option for experiencing the magic of opening a new set is simply unobtainable for a lot of people and as someone who has loved opening packs their entire life, I would not be happy if I had to only buy singles for this set as well as future sets to come.
I was able to buy mine with store credit at MSRP, tax free, and received more than $1700 in return. That’s only the first 86 cards I logged on TCGP app.
ОтветитьNah, the 4 hundred spmething msrp was always the target price.... most ppl are going to lose value even at that.... yall are smoking crack even at 5-6 hundred.... these single prices are going to TANK in few a months
Ответитьfinal fantasy fans are rabid the boxes will stay high and go higher
ОтветитьNewton’s law. What goes up must come down. Lol
ОтветитьIf you’re actually doing this, you’re way, WAY worse with money than I am lol
ОтветитьIn my first box I found Sephiroth and Cloud Surge Foil and also Atraxa Foil...
ОтветитьIt really sucks being priced out of a hobby you used to enjoy, greed ends up ruining everything just like microtransactions with video games
ОтветитьConsidering not buying anything and just proxying every single card I want. Paying hundreds of dollars for painted cardboard is retarded.
ОтветитьI think you are missing out that a lot of people dont care about the strength of the card.
A lot of people just really like FF and wants e.g a Yuna card, no matter how good she is in the game.
Fallout collector boxes are about a thousand dollars. But people don’t believe that final fantasy won’t be over 1000.
ОтветитьWhat timeline am I living in where people are saying that $500 for 12 packs of playing cards is a fair deal? These prices are outrageous.
ОтветитьHey, Rip&Ship is done ay my LGS!
ОтветитьBuying the boxes then selling them whenever final fantasy stops making games. Prob when I have grandkids
ОтветитьEz 20-30 year flip for 20k+
ОтветитьSell into videogame hall of fame or some shit
ОтветитьAt 800 every card is reaching almost 5 each
ОтветитьI got a black neon choccobo first pack the rest I'm keeping sealed...I got my dopamine hit I'm done
ОтветитьMy LGS had them for $468
ОтветитьI was able to pre order my box for $490
ОтветитьWow, singles drop hard from pre-release pricing and most will keep sinking as demand decreases with novelty effect and supply increases, while boxes suffer much the same, except supply goes down, and unopened boxes grow scarcer and eventually disconnects from the value inside. Any other valuable insights we haven't already learned again and again over the years?
ОтветитьI will never pay these prices for cardboard, i don’t care whose face they put on it, or how shiny they make it. NEVER!!
I laughed when they told me $700 at my local store. Oh but the japanese version is $400 only.
Yea not paying that either, for cards I can’t even READ?! LOL
I GOT 1 COLLECTOR PACK ( 60$ ) AND FOUND A FREAKING BLUE FOIL CHOCOBO!!!!
ОтветитьRegarding the mtggoldfishunboxing video you did a bad job researching. The prices he estimated for the cards were way lower than what they actually are and there were a lot of mathematical errors in that video, for instance he draw a card and instead of deducting - 20, he added - 20 which happened quite a few times.
ОтветитьWhat website did you use to look up set prices and value from the set?
ОтветитьHoly shit this video needs chatgpt to shorten it
ОтветитьJudging by todays price drops the right price is at best 250
ОтветитьHow about the japanese version of the collector box?
ОтветитьI'll never understand where these unicorn LGS are selling stuff like this at $450 and other booster boxes close to MSRP. Everything around me is market price if not higher.
ОтветитьWOTC pushed back Lowryn so they can charge $720 for 12 packs from a UB. Scam artist
ОтветитьWell shii guess I feel better about cracking this box I got 2 collectors boxes for 424 each
ОтветитьThx you, Joel. For your info about price trend. And yeah, Collector's Booster, now the price is sick.
ОтветитьMy assumption as this set is opened and ages: The fancy art/foils from the collector boosters will keep or go above the current price point. The normal framed cards will drop immensely due to volume, but at $700+ a box, the market will place those costs into the chase collector cards. If anyone wants a surge foil of a specific card, you will probably only have a small 3-6 week window to buy one before prices start to steadily rise.
ОтветитьJust secured the only collectors booster at GameStop for $500, $474 with my pro account discount
Should I sell or open?!
I may buy a collector booster box and play the cards
ОтветитьI dont know much about MTG but Im a huge FF fan and would love to grab some of these cards. Is it true that these cards will be available for 3 years so that i can wait and buy them at a time when prices arent crazy?
ОтветитьIts pretty consistent shirt term....long term itll be worth lots
ОтветитьIf anyone is wondering why they're +$700 it's because of the f'n guy opening up 60 BOXES!? WTF?
I've seen them being sold for $1000 near me at LGS. I will not shop there for TCG, that's just ridiculous. Just ended up getting single booster packs at big box, because they were like $40 and $50 dollars. Limited to 1ea. so.. I did some driving yesterday..
