I used to watch this show every morning before going to high school. So like,,, 2017 ish?

Funny thing about the show. It was the only 'white' tv show at the time to be in the top 10 most popular tv shows for black audiences. In the 90s there was usually a clear divide as to what your typical white vs typical black family would watch. Married was among those exceptions. Granted what a 'white' tv show means can be vague but it featured an all white cast with only some reccuring black characters. Still it was quite popular among black audiences. Something that commentators at the time took note of. Not all the commentary relating to Married was about its scandals.

I commented early on this video!The more you watch this,the more you have feeling that this video is written and made by 2024 "woman" feminist...who barely watch and definitely didn't get the show,but still make decisions to write and explain the show to others! So many missed points and meanings, that I really don't have time to explain them!All in all disappointing and left with only sorry for the lost 1 hour.

One surprisingly based thing Al did that I just recalled was taking action when Bud was being used by his 40 year old teacher. It didn't matter that Bud liked it or that she was attractive, he still knew it was wrong and called the cops. Al would otherwise come off as the "where was that teacher when I was a kid?" kind of guy.

True, it was all to create a misunderstanding later where he ended up confronting the substitute teacher who was like 70 instead, but he didn't know that going in.

It reminds of a quote I saw somewhere (and I'm probably getting it somewhat wrong) that said

"You're either born rich, you die young, or you grow to be Al Bundy".

And I’m from Michigan too, Terry is just like my mom, really mad about something but not really aware of what to be mad at. That line about sexual assault was the only offensive and reprehensible that should’ve had another rewrite or just cut out entirely, all the other ones had me cackling

MwC is a show about a guy who peaked in highschool living a mundane day-to-day life as an actually middle class man witj a family that worked 40 hours a week.

I would kill to be him, as would many other young people. 40 hours a week to support a small family in a decently large home with atleast one car is now the American dream. How far we've fallen.

Married With Children, or Våra Värsta År (Our Worst Years) in Swedish, aired around late afternoon... so, I saw it the moment I came home from school.

Kinda funny how it was seen as such an "adult" show in the US that they aired it at 9 PM. Same with The Simpsons... I started watching The Simpsons when I was like... 4 yrs old. o3o
