"Thank you for sharing, Greg.
It takes a lot of courage to go through such heavy emotions.
I'm sorry to hear about what's happening with your relationship.
It's never easy, no matter what.
With love and gratitude for your presence."

You are not alone. This happens a lot obviously - while saying that doesn’t help you, it’s the truth. Closing a 23 year chapter is rough but you have a fresh canvas to work on and you have a lifetime of experience to pull from as you compose the next chapter on the canvas that is your life. Sounds like things are turning around for you and it’s great to hear. In the grand scheme of things, it’s happening fairly quickly. Keep your spirits up - you got this!

Greg, so sorry to hear this. I know life has a tendency at times to throw curve balls. We have never met, but I feel compelled to let you know I'll be praying for you. Marriage break up is a loss. And just like the passing of someone close to us, we need to mourn the passing of that loss. We need to grieve to heal and to that end I do pray for the restoration of your heart and life. From the videos I've seen over the last few years which you've made, you strike me as a man of integrity and compassion.

May the current processes you're going through, guide and strengthen you as you seek to reconcile the past and gain hope for the future. I do hope you are able to establish grounded, committed friendships which will enable you to acquire and maintain balance once again in your life as you move forward.

We all go through these phases. I was divorced from my first wife almost 30 years ago, in my early 30s. Ended up remarrying and moving to a whole other country! See it as an opportunity to do something new with life!

Greg, sorry to hear it man. I've been in a similar situation. I mean, it wasn't 23 years in my case, but I was married. We'd had issues a few times and it kinda got worked out. We met in college and it was probably too soon to get hitched. Hindsight right? Regardless, I found a notebook (legit thought it was mine when I picked it up as I had the same exact one) of hers one morning before work. She'd just been out of town on a work trip. There were entries in a journal about meeting some dude who she called "master" or whatever. I confronted her about it and she said she wanted a divorce. I told her to get her shit out. Long story short, the depression factor in my life went into overdrive. I was 30 years old living alone in a big old house. I ended up partying pretty hard with friends and sleeping around constantly. It felt soulless. I finally met my wife (of 20 years this October) about 6 years after and we have a family together. Our kids are a freshman in college and junior in high school, so we're looking forward to some time just together. We're both in it for the long haul. What I've learned is 1. It's not your fault and probably not hers either. We can look back, usually, and note some signs of issues possibly, but it's not worth the time really. Won't change a thing. 2. Every new day is a new possibility. Do things you've always wanted to. Live YOUR life man. I wish you the best.

Take care my friend, I have been there and survived for thirty years now. I remarried again, and now I am faced with another low blow, My present wife of thirty-two years, was diagnosed with leukemia on the 15 of January 2000. The day of her birthday. She is receiving a treatment that keeps her in the world but does not provide a permanent solution. It will keep her here on earth until she does not respond to the treatment. Seven days of treatment and twenty-one days off. She sleeps most of the days, but it keeps us together. We never believed that this would happen. So, you get hit with low blows, but you have to find enough strength to renounce and face life with all its ordeals. Good luck my friend and do not despair, have faith that the guy in the sky (or where he is) will support you in your journey.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. I went through something similar, but I was only married 7 years at the time. I remember feeling like everything was great and then boom my world fell apart in the blink of an eye. She asked me for a divorce and it was the last thing I would have expected. I felt betrayed and lost. All I can tell you is that things do get better.

Dude. As a 60 year old guy that lives in NS, I have enjoyed your approach to everyday, every-person reviews. Your candor and honesty has always been respected. To hear your life as of now is heartwarming and honest, and I respect that. I too am a divorced Dad, so I appreciate what you're going through. Funnily, both my grown children live in Shediac, and I travel there often (I just attended YQM this last weekend in Dieppe!). I'm not a motorbike guy, but I am a tech guy, so if you wish to reach out, feel free, and I'll share all the stuff I have (I have lots that I want to video & share, but don't know how - maybe you can help?); my thoughts on them, and we can share thoughts & strike up some convos on other life stuff as well, if you like. You're never too old to enjoy life, right?

No matter how hard is the situation you are living please never consider by any means dark thoughts about ending your life. I remember one case from the past that a person opted for going that route. Our prayers are with you and hopefully you will feel better.

Man, listening to you talk was like, yeah same happened to me, yeah I know the feeling, no you're kidding I also moved from ON to NS, crash and burn out of nowhere after 15 years, move from HRM to Moncton, and being 100% remote work with nobody to talk with wasn't easy... spooky man... We should get together for some rides, lots great ridding to be had in NB... If you've already packed it in for the riding season perhaps next year? All the best...👍
