So, more blood pressure from having more blood volume in the same circulatory system, then?

That is NOT the complete picture. And it's also misleading a bit. I for one suffer with a congenital heart disease. My body is constantly producing more red blood cells to compensate for blood mixing in the heart. In other words, my oxygen saturation is always low. I rest somewhere between 80 and 85.

Now back to your claim and why does this all matter? The answer is simply because when your blood carries more red blood cells, your blood is noticeably thicker. Kind of like sludge in a vehicle. When your blood is sludge, your heart has to work a lot harder. I need to drain my blood or donate it at least three times a year simply to lose some red cell volume. As soon as I am finished donating, I feel so much better immediately. Be extremely careful what you say because it's almost never a "one size fits all" scenario.

There is no miracle in this. It is a natural physiological adaptation to stress. It is incorrect to draw the conclusion that having more red blood cells and a larger blood volume will make me healthier. This is not the case. Moreover, it does not help muscle endurance because their endurance depends on the development of mitochondria - the only structures in the cell that consume oxygen. If they are not developed, then extra red blood cells and extra oxygen are not needed. Even with calm breathing, we only use about 15% of the oxygen we inhale. To use all the inhaled oxygen, the training must be super intense. And still, you will exhale part of the oxygen.

strength training does the same (even though more research is needed) and is more effective if your goal is to maximize muscle growth. for endurance you can add low intensity cardio to the workout, getting also many more cardiovascular benefits.
on the other hand cardio stimulate production of AMPK, that seems to inhibit mTOR and the protein synthesis pathway limiting muscle growth.
