I did jump a couple of times, but honestly the biggest jump scare I got was you going "perfectly splendid" when you got to the mansion. Bly Manor flashbacks. lol

Government: so you're a highly trained operative with all these skills and you're going to infiltrate this impregnable fortress. Without equipment. Without a flashlight. Without a weapon. We don't have a budget for that.

Idk if anyone else noticed this, but the name of the game is also a theatre term, specifically to do with the greek classics. Charon is the ferryman that guides souls across the river Styx to the underworld. And Charon’s staircase refers to a staircase in the middle of a stage that leads down to the orchestra pit where characters will come from/go to signal that they are from/going to the underworld.

Hmm. That's not what I expected based on how I read the title. However, even if the thesis is true, due to oral techniques, quirks and word plays, etc that only work in the original languages, things will get lost in translation, the same way they do in text format. I feel this is one of those times where being right wouldn't make a difference to the average person, but that doesn't mean it isn't an interesting topic, or that it isn't worth it to those able to appreciate it.

So that also explains why Agent Desmond could see the images of “ghosts”; they weren’t actually spirits of the dead 💀, but rather, they were the memories of his siblings sent via their telepathic connection. And since such communication was through telepathy, their deceased brother’s memories were also Dara’s. So she sent Desmond her knowledge of said transmitted memories to Desmond to help him figure things out along the way.

Great playthrough, thank you Gab. The one thing that irked me through the game was that the place was sealed in 1976-ish. Yet, the older characters in the game were wearing late Victorian dress. If Dr Lewelin was around till the 70's that would have made him about 90 odd years old. You would have thought that they would have tried to get the dress correct, for people who would have been having children in the 1950's. Instead , theyre wandering around in Victoriana,.. and then Dara shows up in contemporary modern clothes. Its all over the place...

I know I'm 1 year late but I definitely caught on when you are arriving at the mansion "everything is perfectly splendid!" I immediately caught that. The Haunting of Bly Manor, right?? :D

Wait...the doctor impregnated his wife with donor eggs. How could he do 3 without realizing it. That part doesn't make sense.

I kept thinking "This is what Britain would be if Hitler had won the war." Then I realized: This is a Spanish game, so was probably originally set in Spain. Under Franco's fascist regime, this kind of 'Ministry' probably existed. And 1976 - the code that leads to freedom, is a significant year in Spain. It's the year after Franco died, and the year when Spain started to become a democracy.
Which leads me to wonder: were the key names in the story Spanish ones in the Spanish version? That would make more sense.

Excuse me, but how can a girl and a boy be identical twins?! What kind of “doctor” can even say such a nonsense? Identical means they share the same genes, exactly the same, so their biological gender must be the same, too. Could have been two girls or two boys, not a boy and a girl. Unless they both are hermafrodites and it’s hard to tell whether they are boys or girls.

In this case, the papers just should not have said “identical twins” about twins who are, in fact, fraternal. It is very simple to double-check who is who, and I think that if your plot is heavily based on twin studies, you should have made a brief research on what is the difference between identical twins and fraternal twins, at least. There is a chance that Devon and Desmond were identical, while Dara was their fraternal triplet. Or they all could be fraternal triplets.

I am one from fraternal twins, I am female and I have male twin brother. Under no circumstances could we be mistaken for identical twins 😂 There is one very significant and very obvious difference below the waist that instantly makes us non-identical at all.
