I understand that you use XF-80 Tamiya for color base of the turret. But i don't know the others. Thank you.

Excellent effects Jon. The bases looks very realistic and I think they would be a good place for me to practice oil washes without worry of being bit by the Bandai plastic bug.

Just about to try your magic tricks on my tie fighter base. This is a great reference.

I always enjoy your videos. Always something(s) to observe and learn. The contrast on the flatter part of the base may be a bit too much for me, but I don’t know. It will be easier to judge against the finished A-wing. Of course taste is a personal thing... Nice work in any case.

The tower looks spectacular with the dry brush effects and streaking.

The base is a nice little kit all its own. It would be cool to take a couple of them and make a bigger Death Star surface out of them.
I was looking closely to see if I could identify any parts from donor kits the studio modelers used to make those.
