I bought this in 2001 and then sold it in 2005 for less than half the price I paid for it! STUPID! :) Worst selling decision ever!
ОтветитьThis is a fun demonstration of how to make one pattern on it, but the RS is an absolute monster for its sampler, song modes, live playback effects, programming resolution (down to 768th notes), loop remixing mode, etc etc etc not seen here!
Ответитьgear gang wars between owners of RS7000 vs Mc-909
ОтветитьAny chance you would ever do a short video on how you bounce to tape?
ОтветитьI can remember buying a used one of these from Armens in NY. Even after import fees back to the UK, it still came in at a sweet price.
It's essentially an RM1X (which i still have) on steroids. I think there's a loop remix function on there, which was later ported over to the motifs.
Hearing it again after 20 years , it has a better sound engine than the RM1X, but then it cost twice (approximately) as much. You could also expand the memory, IIRC. I sold mine within a year, as I found it easier to use other sample based machines / systems.
I had that 7000 i would sample crazy drums into there and resample back into the sp1200 at that time it was like the cheat code compared to using the sp404 samplers of today back then you could really dirty up the sound with the 7000 and drop it in a 12 bit sampler and get a crazy vinyl sound on steroids but very warm and fat with true analog sound
ОтветитьI love this Maschine. The ability to save scenes and play with them as performance or creatively is awesome
ОтветитьYou have to try the Roland MC-909 or the 505
ОтветитьMat weasel rocks RS 7000 too
ОтветитьStill my favorite sequencer that I've ever used
ОтветитьSpeedy J used to do live techno sets on two of these, great stuff it was too.
ОтветитьSounds great 👍
Ответить"What the hell is this lol ?" Nothing but the best groove box sequencer ever made. This is one of those pieces of gear I wish I never sold. I used enough to where I had muscle memory and flew around on the machine. Major down fall was sample chopping was limited as the motif es. Also the memory card is ancient and from what I know, no aftermarket to upgrade cf cards. Also the multi out is super expensive.
ОтветитьBasically a rm1x remixer with a sampler
ОтветитьAs someone who still writes on the Roland MC808, I was delighted to see this. That Break Kit is calling me a little though.
ОтветитьAfter using an RM1X for a few years as MIDI sequencer (yes, the internal sounds were awful but the sequencer was great) I bought the RS7000 when it came out.
BUT I was quite disappointed by the fact that the "MIDI delay" (which could have negative time and moving time to create ping pong effects) was not on the RS7000 while everything else concerning the sequencer was the same. And I got quickly rid of it for a couple of reasons. First of all, its size was really less convenient than the RM1X. And above all, the effects, the digital filter sounded so bad compared to what samplers did at that time that it instantly sounded way too bad to be used seriously.
Yo, I love what you’re doing! Thank you for being a inspiration 🙏🏾🖤❕
ОтветитьWhat a badass device.
ОтветитьThat is the SEQTRAK basically
ОтветитьNice, do the SU700 some time, its like 1999 octatrack.
ОтветитьKeep going button
ОтветитьIsobutane can make a single string on a violin sound like an orchestra.
Dude is amazing!
I loved mine. After 20 years, when Ableton trial knocked out every issue with hardware automatically, sold mine. Yet fond memories
ОтветитьYou're crazy with the basslines man
ОтветитьLeaving my request for my favorite PS1 game ever right here. Sample the great Twisted Metal 2, please!
ОтветитьQue hermosa máquina, que hermoso beat <3
ОтветитьI started making beats on this one, I got it from my brother who was into techno, those were the days and it’s a pretty rad standalone unit
Ответитьalways wanted one at the time to sync with my DX200.
Ceephax's a big fan of this one.
Love this!
ОтветитьBro!!!
ОтветитьAny hardware made past 1995, beginning with the mc303, was beginning of homogenous sounding stuff.
Ответитьceephax uses one
ОтветитьI got mine in 2001, let ir go in 2009, wish I hadn't though
ОтветитьI love mine. I played a lot of gigs with it. My mate had another one and we once did a a13 hour session with two RS7000s, 2 CDJs and a mixer with two mics. The possibilities are endless with these things.
ОтветитьIt's a work station, i have this in y studio for years lol!
ОтветитьI still have mine in excellent condition 🔥🔥🔥. Good stuff man!! 💯💯💯
ОтветитьRS7000 the best of the old grooveboxes. The master effects are killer. Best bit crusher and delay effects around. The factory patterns / songs included a perfect recreation of Hardtrance Acperience and an awesome bukem style drum n bass track. Pity it's so bulky and heavy. They need to make a modern version, SEQTRAK pro maybe?
ОтветитьSheesh! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
ОтветитьHey George, can you please make a old school boom bap beat with grimey brass, trumpets, saxophones, etc.?
ОтветитьNice!

ОтветитьCLOCK TOWER
ОтветитьThis was the main brain of my live hardware club setup for 5+ years of sets across 3 countries. Such a wonderful tool for live performance.
ОтветитьI love my yamaha dx200 and an200. Best groove boxes!!!
ОтветитьYamaha made cool musical gear between 1998-2005
ОтветитьYoooo, happy to see this beast on my fav channel! As always massive respect and thank you so much for the shout out!
