When a woman says she was in a relationship with a narcissist, that means she was the narcissist and the man she was with didn't cater to her every need, want and desire. He put himself first and that caused her to implode.

If you are married, then the primary focus should be on God, then the family, then on yourself (to ensure you can be healthy and maintain focus and support others) and then on your mate. I had an Aunt who got married out of high school and divorced in the 1950s. The marriage was a mistake, married too young, however she continued to date and sell herself and did eventually remarry. Of course the mindset was different back then. She didn’t want anything to do with her ex husband. No alimony, no children so no child support. If anything she was happy she got remarried and did her best to make it work.
