Imo these two could go either direction, romantically or platonically. Simon looks up on Markus, for sure. But that alone doesn’t indicate he’s got romantic feelings about him. Before Markus showed up Simon was practically the leader/spokesperson of Jericho. Watching what Markus achieving so much for Jericho than the freedom he initially envisioned could give him great inspiration and motivation to follow and support him however he can with great enthusiasm. Now add a little personal feeling into that and it can turn into a romantic thing. The thing is whether to or not to. Personally I don’t see the harm of not to. And they do make a cute couple. But I’m fine with the comradely thing as well. Lovelife isn’t everything, you know. Especially in the game where they’re at the turning point of a AI revolution.

Still angry that when Simon dies on the roof, Markus ends up together with North. But when he doesn’t die, Simon gets almost all Norths her dialogues and they don’t end up together ☹️

Always thought of simon as markus's most trusted companion. He was the first android he met and he was the only one out of josh and north to actually be nice to markus

When i first saw him he looked creepy with his big soulful eyes but there was also a warm presence resonating from him it was only after progressing and completing the game 4 the first time that my view of him changed dramatically i SO and i mean SO wished markus got with him instead of north

I love Simon, thank you for compiling. Although every time someone shoots him I feel emotionally battered, wish someone had made video without the bad bits - maybe there is just too little of him for that. He is such a loyal, simple, unproblematic character who isn't pasicifist at cost of his friends but also doesn't have one ounce of actual bloodthirst. And with simple I don't mean stupid, it's just that he doesn't overcomplicate what he says or ever cause problems with what he does and is always on point and very much needed where he speaks. Very opposite of all Indiana Jonesy types people who were born 90s grew up with because he is humble, gentle, supportive and someone you can basically count to have your back that is simultaneously semi-invisible and also absolutely necessary.

I kind of wish that as Conner if you checked the roof and found Simon and if your software instability was high enough, you could choose to reveal his position or not

worst part is that Simon was actually supposed to be a love interest at first, but lack of time made it not happen, that and other cool things, like a Deviant Connor that takes Markus's place as the Deviant Leader, instead of Connor that just suicides if Markus is dead

I need more simkus moments that doesn't involve Simon dying. oh and also a dlc where he's the love interest instead of north :')

This is why I hate the romance between Markus and North. THIS should have been canon.

I think North is his first love which wouldn't last for ever because opposites attract but after a while it's no longer as much thrilling. They wouldn't understand each other and Markus needs someone who will always support him no matter what.

Guys i played Detroit become human and i saved simon from the revolution and the the blue arrow went up and simon was a syntrofos which in greek means boyfriend or girlfriend but a mistake could have happened at the translation so i will play it again it english and we shall see EDIT: in English it said companion

Simon is by far one of my favourite characters. He shows so much empathy and emotions that even i forget that he’s actually and android. i understand that they cut out the option due to time, just wish it was included in some DLC. I genuinely believe there is way more chemistry between markus and simon (our hearts are compatible hurt me so much every time) than markus had with north. North is by no means a bad character, just seemed too forced as she was the only “female” android to have a lot of interaction with markus. sorry i’m rambling but i just love simon too much-

They made the blue-haired tracy and the other girl lesbians but they don’t give Simon as a love interest option? Unacceptable.
