Yes, it's true. I survived it. 20 years ago, after spinal surgeries from a wreck my Dr. sent me to a pain clinic. I'd never heard of those places. That Dr. put me on Oxy which I also had never heard of. He started me on 20mg 3 times/day, then 40 mg a few months later. By then I was feeling sick when it wore off. I didn't know what withdrawals were so I started researching online. I learned about all the overdoses and concluded that I should discontinue the drug.

But next Dr. visit he increased my dosage to 60mg. I asked him if it's ok. His reply was "Yes, you need it. You're in pain." The 60 mg dosage was apparently a new thing they were pushing because it cost over $500./ month. I had no choice but to buy it or suffer detox. But after that month I told the Dr. I wanted to stop taking it. We made a wean-down plan that I didn't handle well, having never experienced this.

So, more online searches; how to quit. Then a recruiter called me late at night and insisted that I fly to their "hospital" because if I don't I'll have seizures or a heart attack. Gullibly, I went there and was taken by security guards to be locked up in a hell-hole. The next day the nurses withheld meds until they could get organized. It really felt like I would die there. Then around noon they finally gave me Methadone which ended the torture.

I was discharged after just 3 days and well, there's more but I'll stop here. I was so angry I at Purdue and the pain Dr, I wrote a book about the ordeal. I'd rather be in pain than to be enslaved to Oxy addiction.

It is true I lived it saw it my husband was a good person , hes dead now it turned my life upside down he was a shell of who he was he had Iiver disease and was led to believe it was safe it destroyed his liver and he was so psychologically and physically addicted it almost killed me too I will never be the same it ruined my life .

It’s funny how everyone is angry they scammed the political system to get this drug through. You guys realise all these online misinformation bills being pushed through are just going to make this behaviour by pharmaceutical companies much much worse. When you can’t question or give alternative solutions to anything they can get away with everything.

Took a real life story about 3 lawyers (2 white men and a white woman) who fought a drug company selling addictive opioid pain killers and race swapped the real people with a black woman to distort the truth in favor of a DEI lie. Why doesn't Netflix make a series about LMK or Malcome X and cast a white man or woman in the lead. If a story is about real life events then let go of the Panderverse Stone and tell a story about the real people involved.
