Some definitions… Witch, Wiccan, Pagan

Wicca
A modern religion with roots in ancient nature worship from many cultural origins. Gerald Gardner is the father of Wicca. Wicca is based on witchcraft practices and most Wiccans call themselves witches, but not all witches are necessarily Wiccan.

Wiccan
1. A person who follows or practices Wicca.
2. Something related to Wicca. (For example a Wiccan book, Wiccan artwork, etc.)

Witch
A practitioner of witchcraft. There are many types and traditions of witches. In general, it is someone who is aware of their power to create, and uses that power into action to plan and design the life they want to lead.

Witchcraft
A science, an art, and a spiritual practice. It is the use of magic to create change in your environment, or the practice of exerting your will to get what you want out of life.

Pagan
A follower of a nature or fertility orientated religion of the world. The word comes from the Latin word paganus, meaning country dweller (similar to heathen - dweller on the heath). There are many different types or denominations of Paganism. Not all witches are pagan, but Wicca is a pagan religion so all Wiccans are pagan.

I personally am a witch and I practice witchcraft. I am not pagan, nor am I Wiccan.
