Jesus this is horrible, I’m a contractor, never in my life would I do this, I wish we were in the same city, I’d help freely.. law needs to be changed to be able to go after company holders instead of hiding behind company legality, I hope you find away to complete your project

The money wasn't put in their hands, it's not their responsibility to pay it back.

The terms are money goes in escrow and you get paid on delivery of materials and completion of work based on milestones. If you don't agree to those terms, you're a scammer.
