Watching this April 15 2025, my how times had changed
Ответить😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
ОтветитьThe DOE's budget for the previous year (FY 2024) was approximately $58.7 billion. Do we not see how federal hands, and wisdom is failing?
ОтветитьTHere were hundreds of unforgettable moments
ОтветитьI used to watch this on TV afterschool when I was a teen
ОтветитьPresident Bartlett reminds me so much of Trump
ОтветитьDonna is truly a power character in this show
ОтветитьI've heard rumors that there may be a sequel to this brilliant show. Trying to imagine what it would look like: Sam Seaborn running for president. He's up against a shameless, but popular, Trump-like demagogue with a cult. Sam barely squeaks into office. He has enemies throughout. He has to bring in the old team - including Bartlett as an advisor - to set the ship right.
It's definitely time for something like this. The West Wing was what the White House could and should be.
It's unbelievable how far we've fallen in only a few months.
In these times in the US, watching the West Wing snippets just makes me think US could use Bartlet as president right now. I hope for the best.
ОтветитьThey made a great couple on 911 Lone Star years later as well
ОтветитьI finished my first watch of West Wing today and I feel lost. It’s absolute perfection and I know television will never top it. Fantastic start to end and it leaves me with so many incredible memories. Thanks to the creators, writers and cast for everything!
ОтветитьAhh remember when the American president joking about still being in NATO was a joke? Those were the days.
ОтветитьTwo Cathedrals is one of the most emotional episodes in TV history to me. I can't watch it without shedding a tear.
ОтветитьThat scene about the Cuban refugees was beautiful. It also had dozens and not millions of people coming into the country.
Ответить"Withe the clothes on their backs they came through a storm"..
and then ICE arrested all of them, shaved their heads, clothed them in orange jumpsuits, put them in chains and transported them to El Salvador prisons.
Break's over.
“We’re still in NATO, right” hits a bit different now
ОтветитьI can't watch the drummer boy episode without crying my eyes out.
ОтветитьSmoking in Church! My Dad would have loved this & Martin Sheen!!! Speaking Latin, so did Dad! 🙏🛐🫶🏼👏👏💕💕
ОтветитьAside from the incredible writing, West Wing's use of music added so much to the emotional affect. Best show ever.
ОтветитьThe current administration could learn a lot from this show
ОтветитьI just wish I could forget it, so I could watch it new all over again❣️
ОтветитьThe takedown of the Christian bigot never gets old. The veteran story is one of the best of the series.
ОтветитьI can watch this over and over and never get tired of it
Ответить"We're still in NATO, right?"😢
ОтветитьNo Jackel??
ОтветитьThe writing, the acting, the blending of story lines, the editing, the use of music -- for my money, this was the finest show on TV.
Ответить“We’re still in NATO, right?” Yikes.
Ответить10 Unforgettable Moments...
...Proceeds to show all 7 seasons.
Whatever I may think of the military and the military industrial complex, the service men and women fought (and many died) for their country. The very f***ing least we can is give them an honourable funeral, and so much more...
ОтветитьI remember that final scene well. After watching the credits at the end of that show, I turned off the TV as I told myself that nothing on TV from that moment on could ever come close to offering that this show did. I never turned that TV back on, I don't even know what happened to it. I have never had another one. I do have the DVD set of the first few seasons. I am not sure I will watch any of them again, as much as I would like to. I am not sure I will be able to handle seeing what I hoped to become real, now will certainly never happen.
ОтветитьI could be an understudy for this show; I have watched the entire series 5 times now, My favorite show of all time.
ОтветитьGo Donna. Proud of you.
Ответить“We’re still in NATO right?”
And right now that is getting closer to not being a joke anymore.
"we''re still in NATO, right?"
ОтветитьIt amazes me, the attention to detail. At Arlington, Toby, a Jew, clearly shows how he is unsure on the customs of a small Christian burial, yet has the respect to replicate what others do to uphold those customs. Great show.
ОтветитьI'm a Conservative person but I love this show. Toby is the absolute moral compass of the show.
ОтветитьGarbage. I used to like this show until I saw it as the usual Hollywood propaganda delivery. Ah well.
ОтветитьAnti-Christian shhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Typical Hollyweird.
ОтветитьWell, it still aint normal Mr President.
ОтветитьMore gravitas in ten minutes than we’ll have for four years.
ОтветитьAmen.
ОтветитьFine acting 👏🏻
I’m looking for this series on DVD’s
"Are we still in NATO?" God, I weep for this fucking nation.
Ответить"I could only hope" is the best line ever said to Pres. Bartlett.
ОтветитьI really liked this show, because even though I'm a conservative, Sheen and the other characters always acted very presidential. They were always concerned about the people. Dems in reality are nuts
ОтветитьThe scene with the homeless vet's funeral makes me bawl like a 2-year-old. It just strikes my heart every time.
ОтветитьMartin Sheen as Bartlett vs God is the best expression of the pain of one with faith. And his FU? (If you know Latin)... Then the lighting of a cig in the vathedral and snuffing it out... Should be taught.
ОтветитьThe writer of this episode will answer to God Almighty. Some of the snarky remarks about the sins of the Old Testament were intended specifically for the Jews of that era, and God had a reason for putting those restrictions on His beloved children. However, homosexuality remains an abomination since before the time of Moses and well into the 21st century. And so is any adultery or sexual act outside marriage, says the Lord. And don't get me started on transsexuality. He created every last one of us. And we all sin. Some of us realize it and repent from our hearts and are forgiven. Others are crazy enough to dare to call Him wrong!
